Are we supposed to change tables when table's bad?
Ok sat down at a 2/5 just realized there's only 1 obvious fish but he's not even donating too much besides overplaying(overvaluing) a hand for a couple hundred.
The rest of tables are on the nittier(reggy) side, 1 tag sitting behind us 3betting/cold 4betting vs our isos on the fish. He's been owning our ass playing ip.
Are we supposed to switch tables or tough it out and play poker?
There are 5 other 2/5 tables.

Change tables.
changé tables
I thought yall supposed to say, no stay and play hyper aggro and own the whole table. etc. lol
find a game you can beat
Change games.. There's no such thing as one obvious fish in LHE. Really, I don't know how you ppl can stand NL every time I play the game I think I'm playing w/ corpses that have escaped from the morgue everyone looks like they are in a coma.
If i dont beat the rake, im changing tables
Short term, change tables. However, that villain has exposed a big leak of yours. Work on fixing that leak.

Yeah, of course change tables.
Maybe you are too obvious isolating the fish light. When he is 3! betting or 4!betting you iso raises or 3-bets, it is likely he doesn't have a strong hand and you should play back at him.

So fish in co opens 10(his open size very wide/frequent)
Hero in Btn 3bets to 40 w/AJs
V in bb cold 4bets to 140(first 4bet)
So I'm supposed to call or 5bet?
1100 eff
An orbit or two later
Fish limps HJ
H in Co opens 25 w/QTs
V in sb 3bets to 80
Fish folds
H?? So I should 4bet or call w/this dominated hand?
Btw, I have a stationy image vs him.

I'd change tables simply based on the description that 7 of 8 opponents are nitty regs. The TAG sitting two seats to our left doesn't make the situation dramatically worse.
Having the only fish at the table sitting to our direct right is a much bigger problem. We're not going to be able to ISO him every hand, and we're very likely to get re-ISO'd a lot when we try. We have the absolute worst relative position at the table.
Use your head. Set some traps. Make the regs think twice before getting involved when you're involved. Flat call the fish's open or limp behind him, then go for some obnoxious back-raises. Send a message to the rest of the table. You're not there to pad their hourly rate.
Also, do you not see the difference in those two hands? A cold 4B from the BB, for over 3X, compared to a smallish 3B from the SB, for barely more than 3X?
One looks serious. The other doesn't. One is a trivial fold. The other is a pretty easy call.
And don't station the TAG. Certainly not when he's in position on you. Why would you even?
I did this for a bit, for a couple of reasons but mainly "get better".
Even though pretty much all the pros. have given advice saying "playing better games > playing better strat." and also "you learn away from the table, you implement at the table". Two obvious exceptions are Gus Hansen and Tom Dwan, and those don't seem like great recommendations at this point.
So listen to me, I know ... 6-9 months from now you won't know/remember much more from playing in the more difficult games, but your winrate being $3.50/hr will be staring you in the face.
As for getting owned, it could be a lot of things. Humans are terrible at randomness, so he could just be running hot when you have hands ... but, sure, given you are folding a lot (or everything) it's a giant red flag for him to 3bet you repeatedly with any2. You are supposed to tighten up if you are getting 3bet a lot. But, as said, there's a super easy way to make it stop by not being there.
i think you should look at preflop charts lol
i would guess you are losing a moderate amount ~35-45$ / hr? in the tougher 2/5 games if they are actually deep / reg infested based off of your posts. decide if thats worth it to you. maybe also buy in shorter especially at the beginning until you see if someone is spewing
Change tables of course
