lets see, think qatar lost all their games in 2022 ..... couldn't tell you who they played though. iirc their first game was only 2-0 or something and second was like a 6-0 blowout

and russia had that team in 2018 that was juiced out on peds, scored a lot of goals, think they won their opener bigly. lets go with denis cheryshev

was thinking that qatar played a south american team, which is correct. i was also right that they lost 2-0. this one is get-able, especially if you can remember the groups

2018 is tuff trivia. i was right that russia won bigly, beat saudi arabia 5-0. and i was right that cheryshev scored, twice. but the opener was by was some russian midfielder who played his entire career in russia. but hey, he did play in ucl/uel 55 times, so maybe you remember him

why do shitty sides insist on playing out from the back?

i blame pep

welp

Shephelo Sithole is such an elite name

I'm kinda annoyed they didn't use the new VAR rule to give South Africa a corner at the end of the first half and idk why,

Not a great half from Mexico before that

Nice moment for Jimenez

Commiserations if you got South Africa in a sweepstake.

Nice moment for Jimenez

You could see what it meant to him. Loved to see it especially after that injury several years ago.

bonus trivia: when was the last time someone was down to 9 at the wc?

Hahaha this announcement

o2.5 reds bettors eatin gud 2night

Oprah ass ref

AND YOU GET A RED

That butcher David Luiz costed him a transfer to ManU
Been rooting for Jimenez ever since

Most sending offs would be a decent minor prize to mix things up

So I read that the last WC only had 4 reds, one of which was after the final whistle and one was for a second yellow in injury time after taking shirt off after scoring. That seems low, can someone fact check that?

This agrees. It says four in 2022 and four in 2018

saw some off market card stuff for 3 players and binked all 3

Given Qatar played Ecuador, Enner Valencia is a pretty safe bet.

yeah, you got it. he had a brace in the 2-0 win

the russian scorer in 2018 is:
