On about 240k, average is 333k.
It’s about to get looser and more gamble-y.
Let’s find the right spots.

First break, still right about at 269k. Average is 460k now, so I need to make a move soon.
Not much to report, I’ve been tight. Stole two rounds of blinds, got a resteal through with AKs. But no all in/call for me yet.
Guy to my direct right has over 1.8M. He did two people DIRTY to get there, too. A9o > AKo all in pre, then JJ > KQ on K-Q-T.
Looking for spots to isolate and play with him.
Feeling good, observing my opponents studiously.

Out in 250th place, for $1,057. Laddered up a pay jump for a sweet, sweet $50 more than a mincash.
Folds to me on the button with A7s. I raise, a shortstack goes all in, for about 65% of my chips. I think it’s a call… and he has 55. 7 in the window, but the next 4 off are hearts, and I lose.
Down to 95k at 10/15. Had to fold through the blinds, down to 55k, less than 4bb.
Folds to me in the CO, and I have 98s. First in, time to go, and hope I have two live cards. Folds to the BB, who shrugs and calls with 76s, of the same suit.
All in and ahead with 9-high, that’s better than I could have hoped for!
But the 7 on the turn crushes my hopes and dreams.
Ah well. It was a good run. Thought I played well, happy with all my decisions.
Not gonna jump right back into flight B. I’m going to get paid, take the rest of the day off, and go home and do laundry.
Then we’ll fire Flight C fresh tomorrow morning!

I tip my Uber drivers a 5-dollar bill every trip, so I always make sure I have plenty of 5’s.

Did my laundry, then walked around the block to one of my favorite spots in the Arts District: Main Street Provisions.
I got the duck breast:
It comes with a risotto-like base, and an orange glaze on the side, with sautee’d spinach. It tasted about halfway between chicken, and turkey, if that makes sense.
It was EXCELLENT, for $39.
Then I watched the hockey game.
Now, bed, then flight C tomorrow!!

Went to bed last night shortly after the hockey game ended, slept pretty great, and got the morning off to a good start.
A brisk morning walk to IHOP to get going in the morning, and I had a great breakfast.
Made my way over to Horseshoe, and got registered for Flight C.
Feeling good, and ready to make it a long day today!

First break, still right at a starting stack, 48k. Haven’t gotten very involved yet.
It’s a tougher table than the start of this event for me on Wednesday.
More jovial atmosphere, though. I’ve gotten the table hooked on America’s favorite gambling game: “hat/no hat.”
Will the next player to join our table be wearing a hat?
I always take the yes hat side, and offer even money, for $5.
No hat cashed first, so we’re running it back, and I’m WAY due.
I like that prop... and I think your side is way better than even money so you're getting the best of it.
Second break, on about 72k.
I made a set of tens in a 3bet pot, got a big checkraise in on the flop, but he wouldn’t stack it down with me.
Other than that, it’s been another quiet 3 levels.
More importantly, I’m 2 and 3 in hat/no hat.
It’s pretty funny… either way it goes, the table erupts in laughter, money exchanges hands, and the new guy is always like wtf are these happy morons at THIS table.
Still feeling great, keeping at it!
Busted in level 9. Got my stack in bad, so a little angry with myself.
First I lost a flip vs a shortstack, 66 > AQo, that got me below a starting stack.
Then I called a raise from MP in the CO with J8s. The flop was 8-4-4 two spades, he cbet, and I raised.
Wasn’t part of the plan when he came over the top.
If I’d thought about it a little longer, I think I can come to the conclusion that he has all the overpairs, or at least something like spades and two overcards.
But I didn’t think on it too long. Got it in, he had 99, and I don’t improve.
I won’t re-enter this flight. Think I’ll play cash PLO the rest of the day, and fire fresh tomorrow.
…And I finished 3 and 4 in hat/no hat. Still think it’s due!!
