Vegas hand 1
This is the first time I have played limit in a few years. This is a raked game.
The game has been kind of passive pre but there is plenty of pre flop aggression.
A tight ish guy open limps in the LJ, old guy in the HJ who is playing every hand over limps…I haven’t seen him raise in two hours but he has shown up with AK a couple times. I am next in the CO and call with Js7s…the button was telegraphing a fold. The SB folds and the BB checks.
QcJh8d….It’s checked to me, should I bet? The BB will CR a good bit in these situations with draws and made hands. The HJ did have a habit of waking up with strong hands after somebody else started the action.
Is this too weak of a hand pre flop? If the button wasn’t telegraphing a fold should this be a raise?

Fold pre
None that are calls. I’d raise j9s
And yes I’d bet flop
You’re the most prolific poster in the preflop check up thread and you limp J7s? Might suggest you take some time to review that thread if you’re going to play limit.
J9s is definitely a raise, J8s could be raised in weak games, J7s is always a fold. I’m never limping any of them.

I had a feeling it wasn’t good. I haven’t played limit in about 4 years. It’s been a long time since I was active in the pre flop thread.
Don't know if it matters for the advice, but the OP doesn't make sense - it says it is both passive and aggressive preflop.
Calling is by far the worst option pre. I think folding is best but I don't think raising is truly awful.
