He did do that, which was odd, but I thought he was finally banned because, despite repeated warnings, he wouldn't keep off his pet topic of racial hierarchy.

Fair enough, but to my point, he dam sure should have been banned for it.

Nothing said in here should have any effect on your real life. If it does you should leave. I know one poster who has wisely stepped away. Your mental health is worth a lot more than a few dopamine hits.

Elway is gone?

Elway is gone?

Yes. After a brief bout of dissasociative personality disorder, Elway's psyche has been reintegrated into the psyche of mongidig.

And I thought he and Elway were coworkers with benefits and shared pillow talk about Mong’s 2+2 account issues. Don’t tell me I was fooled by this charade.

This is why we keep telling you to watch less romcoms.

It was a cute meet.

I disagree with the stated reason for deletion, this thread has never been on track.

Quite so!

I think it's both logically and metaphysically impossible to derail this thread.

You might recall Luciom being banned because he said everyone on the left should be rounded up and killed? No?

I don't remember that. Assuming he did say that (and I never have had reason to think you're lying), that would be less than 1% of his posts. SRM and BigEasy and Karl are unhinged in over 50% of their posts. Of course, anyone wishing harm on anyone should get the boot imo.

Of course you don't. You don't remember how hysterical and dangerous Brian James was? Of course not. Your view is simply confirmation bias. You remember the incidents you want to remember and don't notice the others.

I don't know what you mean by BJ being 'dangerous'. Is that code for 'BJ hurt my feelings and sent me to the fainting couch?'

And the two folks you mentioned were perma-banned. Other than Karl calling for someone to off themselves, SRM and BigEasy I don't think have posted stuff that would be considered worthy of a perma.

And you are the deplorable who tolerates garbage like that. I prefer my reaction.

Of course you are entitled to your reaction. The 'Ignore' button is a wonderful thing.

If by 'tolerate' you mean that I think folks should be allowed to say what they want other than libel and threats, then yes I am a very tolerant guy.

It's much more than that. The West has been moving steadily rightwards since the '80s and hitherto niche far right opinions are now becoming mainstream, fuelled by social media. Any reasonably balanced person finds this alarming. And then there's mongidig who revels in it, as a pig rolls in shyt.

Being alarmed by awful things happening in society is a GOOD thing.

Not clear to me how repeated, hysterical profanity-laced rants helps to resolve those awful things.

Anyway, folks who want to post hysterical profanity-laced rants are in good company: the leader of the free world does it all the time!

Yeah, that weird guy you proudly voted for 3 times (and would do so again)!

There is a group of deeply unserious "conservatives" on the internet who think it is hilarious to troll left-wing posters. And there is a group of left-wing posters who enjoy screaming at those "conservatives." Both sides of that equation are getting what they want from the exchanges. Both sides have deluded themselves into thinking they are winning the exchanges when, in fact, they are both losing.

I'm not sure I 'proudly' voted for him three times, whatever that means.

Anyhoo, if I agreed with SRM's politics and he ran for President I would consider voting for HIM three times! Social Media posting style isn't typically a deal-breaker for me. But I see how it could be for those folks who can't engage social media without being within 100 feet of their fainting couch.

I couldn't agree more. Well said!

You're the snowflake whose blocking LandoLakes because he calls people r****ds.

More like I made a joke about a pic of his two cats by saying it was a cat lady litter of cats. Clearly any reasonable person realizes this is a playful way of saying two cats is two too many and the person saying it prefers dogs, but he got all heavy about it.

Then I took him to task about some cheeseburgers and that really did it in. He claimed I was fat shaming him, which I wasn't, and then volunteered that he needs to put on some weight (what fat people claim on anonymous boards when they think they're being called fat).

But yeah, he should join team MAGA because he's got the persecution complex down pretty well.

That's code for spreading medical mis and disinformation at the great expense of public health and trust in the medical community. BJ never once hurt my feelings because I don't give much weight to the opinions of fools with the iq of a doorstop. I was only ever exasperated at him because of the harm he was doing.

No, that's not what I mean by tolerate.

Fair enough.

Just for the record, I don't trust the Medical-Industrial Complex either, but obviously that's not a license to spread nonsense that could hurt people.

No, that's not what I mean by tolerate.

Noted. Thanks.

I totally own my fatness. (I like to call it 'happy fat.')

And since I see he's still being a disingenuous prick in the quote up there, just know that that's the real reason I blocked him, not because I'm overly sensitive about the R-slur (note there are others that do that around here that I don't block, it's just one of the long list with this prick).

I get it. Some time back I had him on Ignore, but now I enjoy engaging him for some reason. He's far more self-aware than most posters in these here parts. And he can be very funny.

Yeah, I think we align on a lot of issues, but I don't block people because I disagree with them, I block them because their presence annoys me.

Is there anybody in these forums who would leave your daughter or son alone with SRM?

Sounds like both sides are getting what they want, tbh.
