Hustler 25 - Know Your Customer
Nondescript asian woman opens the HJ, whale calls in the CO, I coldcall 45hh in the SB, and BB calls. 4 ways.
Flop Ad Jh 5c. I check, BB checks, HJ bets, whale folds, I call, BB calls.
Turn 3h. I check, BB checks, HJ bets, we both call.
River 5d. What should I be thinking about as I decide between donk and C/R?

What the button bets with and what the bb calls 2 with? Like does she bet all aces?
I think this is a clear donk
I thought that she would bet any Ax because no one has given any indication that they have AQ/AK/AJ, but in retrospect that may have been too ambitious.
I mean, she’s chopping unless she has a queen or better and peeps don’t value bet enough.
You should consider…..Strength of HJ, how likely she will v bet river and call a raise, how likely will the BB call if you donk, Your relative position to the aggressor, how many bets is your hand worth, how hidden is your hand, your hand strength relative to other hands etc.
Donking is the safest play here. You might get a weak call by BB and a call from HJ. Also, you don’t want 3 bets going in on the river those times HJ has a boat. Limit players do tend to disappoint us by checking back hands they should bet.
If the BB was the pre flop raiser and aggressor I’d like a CR.
Would it be accurate to say this is about the worst hand you’re calling with pre here? Are both 53s and 43s a fold?
As played I like a CR here. Higher limit games tend to be more aggressive. In a lower limit passive game where many check value hands on the river I’m donking.

I would fold pre flop here especially in a raked game. With the whale in the hand I can understand wanting to get involved. Iβd call 76s here. I think limit players way over value suited connectors especially OOP.

I was going to ask this as well about the fold pre. If chillrob is still around I would like his opinion.
I'd bet because you want to be certain to get something. V too often thinks 'pot's big enough' and checks.
Fwiw, I'd fold pre unless I thought I needed to show something out of character for image purposes. 3-5 structure, meh, you're still burning chips almost always. Otoh, God hates me but might love you.
I call pre to show something in character for image purposes.
If itβs a mistake itβs like a -.05 to -.1 BB mistake
All I ever get when I call w/ that hand is indigestion.
