tangentially related, have some friends that work for a local utility company. the company is starting to integrate robots (think Boston Dynamics dogs) into field operations. the union has negotiated that the robots are not to be called "robots" though, and instead are to be referred to as "machines" in all conversations and official work communications, like memos or emails.
