I guess 14 days late qualifies as better late than never (referring to me, not you Garick).

wow **** that guy. that guy DEFINITELY ate his dessert alone just like Steven Glansburg.

thx RedEyEs.

Guess what I just fired up? And I'm not on a flight. It's unbelievable how many laughs this movie incites. Also many drinks in which helps.

hey, we're blood brothers!

Welcome back, degens!

modern problems require modern solutions

Going to be a great week. Lucinda Williams is opening tonight. She wont be there tomorrow or Friday. Fired up for that. Only question now, do I head on to Austin for the 29th? Tough decisions. He is 85 now. We are nearing the end of the road.

Tomorrow night might kill me though. Outdoor amphitheater and it is 3,000 degrees

06/23/26 Phoenix, Arizona - Arizona Financial Theatre
06/24/26 Tucson, Arizona - Casino del Sol - Anselmo Valencia Amphitheater
06/26/26 Albuquerque, New Mexico - Sandia Amphitheater

Was this a test to see if anyone would use the new site if the existing site was down?

I'm guessing no since the new site was down as well, at least as far as posting. I wonder what percentage of folks just never come back after these annual breakdowns?

New site didn't work either.

Edit: My pony, it is slow.

I do this every day in front of the mirror when I wake up.

It does seem to happen every year about this time.

PSA - Lucinda Williams is a treasure.

senior mcmuff,
plz 2b update us on your four goals of travel shopping
did you end up selecting neck pillow or nose canceling?

Spoiler
Show

if this shows up as 404 humor not found blame everything on cloudflare
will attempt later once permission allowed

love the way adjacent seating is flipped as if riding on a eurorail train
wonder how that might play out in limited sections of airplane compartments,
imagine maybe very beneficial for traveling families with kinder young

no to noise cancelling
i have the travelrest neck pillow bookmarked, will pick it up soon

my return flight is overnight, so the only way i'll be able to get any sleep is with a neck pillow.

in which direction are you crossing time zones?
under certain circumstances it may be better for the body clock to stay awake and have once night of recovery sleep before back to normal

Good times, my friend. Bob was surprisingly strong and almost seemed to be enjoying himself at times. He even picked up an electric guitar to play on a few songs. First time in at least ten years that I have seen.

Interestingly, he had a new guitar player this week for some reason. It happened to be Julian Lage. A player renowned in the Jazz world who I recognized right away. I found myself captivated by his playing all three nights. And it was a lot of fun watching how he evolved over the week as he became more familiar with the material and the band. I don’t know why he was there or what happened to Doug Lancio or if he’ll be back.

Lucinda was a real treat. I have always liked her and am glad to have gotten the chance to see her live. Too bad she wasn’t there for the second and third night. You can see she still struggles a bit physically since her stroke a couple of years ago. But she was magnificent.

I decided not to go to Austin. However, I am headed to Oklahoma on the 2nd for one more run this year.

Good to hear all of you survived the heat! Interesting about Bob plugging in.

I saw Lucinda a few times in the previous century and did not appreciate her. At all. Mistakes were made. I have only begun to appreciate her music in the past several years. Amazing that she is performing at all!

Thanks for the TR. Enjoy the next show!

If you’d like a bit of insight into his mind - This is Tucson. North of 100 degrees, in a god damn hoody.

Playing his strat in Phoenix. Same hoody but at least it’s indoors with ac.

Typical late stage Bob. People paying $$$ to see him, and he wears a hoodie and bends down so they can't.

Guy is awesome, obviously, but eccentric???
