I actually said the exact same thing to myself on both counts. Possibly the 2 best teams in th league playing and it's kinda boring. And i can't wait for tomorrow's Fever Mercury 2 main event! I said same on Astier as well. She's smooth and makes it look easy.

You spoke too soon. Took her out over 2 minutes left in 1st quarter then left her on the bench into the 2nd quarter and didn't come in until 7 minutes. This while Mitchell i don't believe has been taken out once in the whole game yet. I could be wrong on that but prettu sure she's played every minute so far. Strange isn't it?

Then they finally put caitlin back in and have her guarding some giant? Is that Andre the giant? Looks like she got a foot on her plus she has long arms. So the woman is like 8 foot tall and Steph white expects caitlin to guard her. Nice!

And come on, the Mercurenaries don't have any giants. It's not like CC had to guard Brittney Griner or Han Xu or Lauren Betts. The Fevers play a switching defense so yes, CC is going to have to guard forwards.

Why is Caitlin subbed out again with 1:20??????? This while Mitchell still hasn't been subbed out the ENTIRE 1st half unless it was real early and i didn't notice? She must have been subbed though right? But even if she was she played the entire 2nd quarter and most of the 1st quarter if not all. She definitely played alot more minutes than Caitlin either way.

I'm not in the huddle but that's a good move by Steph. Make sure she doesn't pick up her third foul before halftime.

I was exaggerating on the giant but she's pretty tall compared to Caitlin. The woman with the accent. I thought we/the fever/ the media established the switch defense doesn't work for them. That is how Caitlin used to get into foul trouble because the Valks exposed it's an easy way to arget Caitlin and get her out of the game. So i thought they changed the defense to help more? How can Caitlin not get into foul trouble playing against a player posting up on her with height and reach that's got to be at least 6 inches on her prolly more.

You don't think Mitchell played more minutes? When did she come out and for how long? Caitlin sat with 2 plus minutes left in 1st quarter. Didn't come back in until around 7 minutes left. I never saw Mitchell not on the court. Maybe she came out but if she did it was for a very small amount of time.

Caitlin was cooking had a quick 13 points then Steph White puts the cooler on her as usual to ride the bench. And she had zero foulds on her when they subbed her out of 1st quarter. Then bring her in to guard Minute Bol's taller sister to get her into foul trouble.

I agree. I was cringing she'd get a third. There was another game she left her in with 50 seconds left in th 2nd and she got her 3rd. But she never woulda got 2 if she didn't have to guard Mrs Bol. It's just the point that it seems coach White always looks for excuses to take Caitlin out and excuses to keep Mitchell in. In this case it was probably a good idea.

I'm still trying to figure out who the heck you are referring to. The tallest player on the Merc roster is Dontwanna, she's 6'4" and allergic to paint.

She was posting up Caitlin when Caitlin finally came back into the game in the 2nd quarter. Maybe she's not that tall but she looked huge next to Caitlin when she posted her up. Maybe Caitlin was bending over in her guard to make it look like she was alot taller. But oi'm pretty sure she's tall. Bonner taller.

Unless she got into an arugment with White and White sent her to the showers? I don't know that just speculating. Caitlin threw a turnover was the last play before the commercial. Could they have had words? Total speculation. I just hope she's not hurt.

I just heard back injury. Unreal, she was putting up mvp numbers for 7 straight games now gets hurt. Now everything's off the table. Probably won't play all star game too now. They didn't say it's long term. Just said back injury and i think said won't return.

You never know with these people though. It still could have been an argument and now just saying it's back injury so the fans don't get mad at coach White.

She's definitely getting suspended 10 games minimum for this right? Punches her in the throat and knees her in the groin. It is defititely on purpose as the balls not even around there. Also she made a fist. Who makes a fist there unless it's on purpose? If it was an accident it woulda been an open hand.

How did they not call a foul on this? i was worried she was gonna do tis in this game. I was just hoping she'd hold off knowing the refs would be watching this one closely after the last game. She got away with it then becomes the star of the game. And she gets interviewed and praised by the announcer about a great game. So gross!

Someone should ask about it at the post press conference. But you know they won't. They only ask softball questions.
