i get it from the laffs pov given his qo was apparently $4.1m, but his numbers looked good, from last season anyway. an interesting one out there given everyone's saying that this free agent crop is lol
It's a BS narrative that NHL players use because they like living in warm weather and getting paid the same as Canadian players but being able to walk the streets unrecognized and with a media that basically treats them with a big meh.
back when Buchnevich was playing for the Rangers he came into my buddy's (big Rangers fan) restaurant and was low key mad that no one else recognized him there

scuttlebutt tonight is Werenski rejected a trade to Dallas, in a deal that is believed to have included Harley. Tampa Bay remains engaged in talks here. Philly was in mix too, but seems like TB is Werenski’s top choice right now.

It was more that he wasn't going to play in Montreal, so he said if you're going to trade me, please do it to Vancouver. He would've preferred to stay in Montreal, but as we saw in the playoffs they weren't going to dress him.
I feel like today will be boring, not just due to the fact that no difference makers are available to sign, it really seems to me like this class is so poor that even GMs won't be able to talk themselves into signing real boat anchor contracts.
