** World Cup 2026 - USA, Canada, Mexico Thread **
Saw no thread was active yet while it starts tomorrow so I'd gave it a go
No real time for an extensive write-up but lets
Brazil's strategy to counter in this game was strange, you're better basically everywhere except maybe goalie (norway's been great) and one freakazoid of nature attacker who put 2 on you. That and why their best guy didn't take the PK.
my GF is Brazilian and we were talking about it last night. You basically know Haaland is gonna find a way to score one, so you’ve got to know you need to score at least two.
They needed to open it up more

It's shocking refs don't just give straight reds for this end of game nonsense.
Lol another pen
Pls neymar miss
That's a pen.
This game should also be over. No reason this should even be happening right now.
Neymar is such a clown
LOL Neymar
Clown show from the refs at the end.
neymar celebrating his pity goal is wonderful stuff
I remember when 5 minutes of stoppage time was huge and almost unprecedented

Wp haaland, bye bye unrecognizable brazil
See?
Don't stutter step unless you're Neymar.
brazil are just dreadful. genuinely appalling football team
"brazil 90% to ship"
-nate bronze
genius move by Ancelotti, now he gets fired and keeps the whole $50M for less than two months of work
Inject those images of Neymar crying right into my veins
Bruno Guimarães is the first Brazil player to fail to convert a World Cup penalty in 40 years (excluding shootouts).
For the first time since 1990, Brazil have failed to qualify for the World Cup Quarter-finals
Since their win in 2002 WC final against Germany, Brazil has lost every time they face against an European in the knockout rounds (france, germany, netherlands x2, belgium, croatia, norway)
brazil are just another team now...

yea and the VAR decision stands unless your president is Trump
A potential 'clear and obvious error' is supposed to be the threshold for VAR to involve itself in the first place. After VAR makes a recommendation that the incident be reviewed, "clear and obvious" is again supposed to be the threshold for the referee to overturn the call. But (at least as far as the EPL goes), that's pretty much gone out the window.
Also, the final decision is not a "VAR decision".
Brazil had 33% possession against Norway...
Brazil.... 33%
They will not be missed
England/Mexico teams told not to travel to the stadium for now
