** World Cup 2026 - USA, Canada, Mexico Thread **
Saw no thread was active yet while it starts tomorrow so I'd gave it a go
No real time for an extensive write-up but lets
Pretty disappointing by Mexico. Didn't really create anything good.
That was the best English defense since Agincourt.
Oh man they're playing "It's coming home" in the Azteca. lolllllllllllllll on your little bicicletas, Mexico.
Pretty shocked at the lack of actual goalscoring chances that Mexico created those last 25 minutes.
LolMexico
Wasted so much time trying to setup the perfect shot instead of just peppering the goal as much as possible.
this is a GOAT WC and it's not particularly close
should just let these 3 countries host it in perpetuity

They really couldn't do this either, england defended well and they couldn't get anything in the box.
If you don't score up a full guy for an entire half you deserve to lose.
gets me everytime in this sport when someone is lying on the ground and the trainers are taking their time just strolling over there and the game is just going on like eh I'm sure he's fine.
that one play where gimΓ©nez or jimΓ©nez got rugby tackled and had his shirt nearly removed by 2 defenders was a million times more of a pen than the one they gave to ..... portugal? i wanna say
lol the QF between Norway and England is in Miami, outdoors, in the middle of July. Does Kalshi let me bet on sunburns?

what is a penalty is the NFL's what is a catch I don't know, what the ref says it is or isn't. 2 guys were grabbing his shirt and even the expert was like oh that's fine.
I have high hopes for the next one with spain/portugal/morocco but absolutely none for saudi arabia, you're not gonna get THIS over there.
It'll be interesting to see what FIFA will do after Saudi Arabia. They did their little magic to get South America and Africa out of the rotation to host so that they could go back to Asia which means that, other than Oceania (which, sick, if I'm still alive I'll likely be freshly retired and would love to go to a WC in Aus/NZ in 2038) the next fed up on the rotation will be *drumroll* CONCACAF.
I realize none of this matters one lick and I hope it's back in Europe somewhere after Saudi Arabia.
tomorrow:
portugal vs spain (in arlington)
usa vs belgium (in seattle)
LOL king Harold sounds ill.
Never in doubt. I wasn't ever even worried mates.
More fun reading this thread than watching the actual games.
Belgium ML tomorrow. But only small. Theyβre pissed and rightly so. 2-3 days of strat without that guy and now they have to tear that up and have 1 day to strat for the other guy is unfair to Belgium.

Only if the refs don't know the rules is that a penalty. Burn and the other player were engaged and Guehi had the line of the ball. There's a reason there wasn't even a long VAR check.
Not sure which one you're talking about though to be fair.
Jordan Henderson was stretchered off while receiving oxygen after falling over during England’s celebrations following their World Cup win over Mexico.
uh
that's the yellow card without playing guy jeez
apparently tried to go over some advertising stuff and fell on his arm and probably broke it and/or his shoulder not the best day for that guy
edit-broken wrist it seems
a yellow and an injury without playing in the game has to be a world cup record so he's got that
Some guys are just legends in the game without scoring or saving goals
the reason he's on the team is he's supposed to be the veteran old guy who keeps everyone in line.
