Brad Stevens really fu.cked up. I don't care if your ownership says deal him, you tell them they're morons and to let you do your job. There was a legit chance that whoever missed out on LeBron (which would be MULTIPLE teams) would look to pivot to trading for Jaylen Brown, and then there'd be a mini bidding war... and you'd get back more than podcast P who isnt even rated R.
One thing no one talks about is that they should've just dealt Derrick White a month after Tatum's achilles tore. Tried to get a Bridges/Bane/Rudy type haul for him (and with new tanking rules these picks would be more valuable), 30m two way player that can fit into any team but was aging and by the time Tatum got back to full strength may not be for a few years. Then it is your job as an elite FO to find the next Derrick White or a poor mans version of him.
I don't even know what he would fetch today after how bad he was in the playoffs and him being 32 now.
I thought this at the time but then when Tatum came back so fast from the injury and Celts were favs to win the East, it looked like they made the right move. Until it didn't.

What about the Lakers' roster? They seem to be doing a decent job picking up players for Dončić—two of them even played alongside him during his lone Finals appearance. It would be really cool if they could land Kuminga, too.
