Bitcoin Wallet Privacy and Security Tips for Online Poker Players
Hi everyone,
I’m interested in learning how online poker players protect their Bitcoin wallets and personal information.
When using Bitcoin for poker or other online platforms, I currently follow these basic steps:
Use a separate wallet instead of a main savings wallet
Keep only the amount needed for transactions
Double-check the receiving address before sending
Send a small test transaction first
Use a strong and unique wallet password
Keep the recovery phrase and private keys offline
Avoid unknown wallet applications and phishing links
Keep wallet software, browser, and device updated
Avoid publicly sharing wallet balances, addresses, screenshots, or transaction details connected to personal information
I also understand that Bitcoin transactions are generally irreversible, so checking the address, amount, and fee before sending is important.
For people who use Bitcoin for online poker, what privacy and security practices do you recommend?
Do you prefer a separate wallet for poker transactions, or do you use another setup?
This is an educational discussion only. I am not promoting any poker room, casino, referral link, bonus, wallet service, or investment product.
