Crazy that LeBron at 41 can still freeze the NBA offseason to a large extent.

It's also insane how much he enjoys it. There is a weird pattern where hate for LeBron fades and respect for Lebron escalates over a period of years, and then he burns down all the warm feelings by conducting his free agency like the biggest prima donna in the entire sporting world.

ive always had little to no respect for his conduct and orchestrations

immature and insecure are armchair diagnoses

i may be projecting

"Where LeBron plays will affect the schedule," Silver said at the CNBC Sport x Boardroom: Game Plan Summit. "So, I would like him to make his announcement already, so we can finish the schedule. Because, as you might imagine, the teams are calling us, the networks are calling us, and everybody wants to lock in the schedule. ... It will influence how we set the schedule, how we set opening week, Christmas Day, etc., etc. So, I need him to make a decision."

And now it's Miami... This is fascinating.

Looks like he's taking his talents to South Beach.

Entirely possible, but i put no stock in Kalshi price movements. Over the last month, CLE, GS, and Miami have all been significant favorites at different times, in each case based on **** all nothing.

I assume it's based on $$$ 😃

I don't think any team has ever been greater than 60%, so not sure about "significant favourites".

It's just fun. The most fun is all the butt-hurt LeBron haters being upset he hasn't decided yet.

I think he decided a long time ago (in his own mind, at least), and he is just dragging this out because he loves attention. Someone of his age and stature in the sport needing this much attention is beyond pathetic. Beyond that, I don't really care. It isn't going to move the needle much for whichever team ends up with him. If everyone agreed to drop his free agency from the news cycle, then I truly wouldn't care if he waited until the last possible second.

I definitely am not a Lebron hater. Until relatively recently, he was clearly the best player in the league. He plays the right way. He has been a good steward of the league. The pathetic "look at me" **** he pulls every time he is a free agent is really the only mark against him.

I'm a huge lebron guy (basketball-wise & person-wise) but this part of him is annoying and tough to defend

also I invite people to take a deep look at Miami's roster depth - their 2 best guards and Damion Mitchell & Tim Hardaway Jr

Some people like to be wined and dined.

LeBron to the Heat baybeee is gonna happen!
Giannis Bam and LeSouth Beach

Can we ban trading for second-round picks? Honestly some of those trades I have no clue what to make of them - like what's the value of 3 SRP's ? What is OKC going to do with the 7 SRP's they acquired this summer?

SRPs are artificial deal sweeteners, much like sucralose.

Per Shams, Lu Dort to the Hawks, Risacher to Mavericks, 3 second round picks to the Thunder.

I know he’s controversial, but I’ve liked Dort. Maybe a bit dirty, but unquestionably a pit bull on defense, who can spot up for some 3’s.

His skill set is a nice addition to what Atlanta’s trying to build.

And this closes the door on the first #1 pick in the Hawks history, in the worst draft since Anthony Bennett.

in bad drafts teams really #YOLO it and it just looks dumb but it doesn't matter much, there aren't that many players worth picking at all in that draft and so far none look like a star but maybe one of them gets there.

OKC has something like 21 2nd round picks, it's like hoarding trash.

dallas didn't give up anything much and is just gambling he'll turn it around, which he probably won't. He has hard bust numbers so far but he is a 6'8 wing and that's in demand in the league right now.
