all the successful small businesses is selling slow death to your own community. liquor store, vape store, fast food franchise, these are almost guaranteed home runs, only downside is high barrier cost of entry and you go straight to hell when you die. more "normal" small businesses like restaurant or a bakery are gonna have you putting in 80-hour weeks and it's 50/50 you make it even one year. you don't know what business to start i don't know either. i don't want to be a slaveowner and responsible for employees and having to pay them not enough to survive and being the reason they hate their lives like bro i don't even want to be here i should have just put all my money in an index fund

used bookstore/physical media store would be a cool small business idea because i would treat it like Black Books (2000-2004) where i'm the owner/manager/sole employee and i hate everyone who walks in my shop because they're interrupting my precious solitude. not sure how it's supposed to make money tho, it seems like the kind of thing you run at a loss as a way to access a large inheritance
