2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
Liam Coen going to the jags after they fired Boelke (sp?) is hilarious
In related news, I will be drafting a lot of Tlaw stacks again. Hopefully it’s not Kyle Pitts all over again haha
The real question is can Coen save Etienne and Tank? I expect the Jags to draft at least one RB.
BTJ is mooning. Cautiously optimistic on Trevor. They need another WR or two. We’ll see about Engram.
CMC too high
Breece too low
You’re probably right. CMC is going to be a tough click, but I also don’t want to have 0%.
Hayden mentioned he originally put out rankings with CMC closer to the 2/3 turn, but there were a lot of comments saying they’d take CMC higher, so he moved CMC up some. A lot of people are still going to focus only on his upside.
In theory, Breece should be in a better spot next season. But I’m also not convinced he’s as good as the community thinks. And there are still a lot of question marks for that offense. How good will they really be? I wouldn’t be surprised for him to start out near the 3/4 turn then gradually move up during draft season, if the news and vibes are positive.
I love Puca but I feel like he should be more late round one. Stafford is getting older. I'd rather have all the guys below him down to Achane.

I just have very little faith in aging RBs coming off significant lower leg injuries.
Maybe I'll get some exposure if he looks good in training camp or shows some breakaway speed in the preseason.
5% CMC sounds about right. I think he will go in the early second. I'm tempted to full fade though given his health history and age. Picks like this never work out.
Looks like saquon will be needed to advance to the best ball finals. That was quick haha
The good news is the pre-draft contests are live, so everyone who doesn't have Saquon can start dreaming about next season haha.
Nice, I just joined my first two slows, one Big Board and one Little Board. I drew the 1.01 in the Big Board, so it's going to be a good season!
The initial rankings are a lot to digest. I think Hayden has heavy influence in these rankings, and after a few days, actual ADP will take over.
Advanced my KC/PHI team. Went into the 2nd game 5/8. Got to 2nd, and it was Kelce's 2nd reception that got me there.
should be a fun sweat.
Got one team to the finals
I think I got a shot
Qb Mahomes
Rb Barkley and hunt
Wr Kelce and worthy
Griddy still wild out here.
Just saw someone take Bowers/McBride at 12/13. Seems bad.
That’s wild. Bowers isn’t going in the first is he? I think I would probably be a decent fade on both those guys if they’re in the 1st or 2nd
Allen / Lamar in the 2nd is another probably full-ish fade for me. I was thrilled to draft those guys in the 4th last year, but 2nd is a little much for me
Hayden's current top 36 using column C. My estimated percentage drafted based on his ranking, using column E. What do we think?
Since it's not based on real ADP, I was slightly aggressive at the very top. Those percentages may not compute.
The top 9 are smashes but there is a significant drop off after that. Chase Brown at 17 is absurd. Josh, Jayden and Lamar at the 2/3 is dumb. Mcbride at 25? Is he predicted to recover multiple TD's in the endzone? Jeanty should be in the first round.

Bowers opened at 16 and is currently at 17. McBride is at 28. I haven't drafted Bowers yet. I drafted McBride once at ADP.
Hayden definitely has a big influence on initial rankings, and he absolutely loves elite QBs in .5 PPR scoring. I have one Josh share so far and it was at 30. Last year Josh opened at the 1/2 turn. Lamar was like a round to a round and a half cheaper, and they all eventually converged into the last 3rd/early 4th. I think we see something similar. happen pretty quickly, as I've already seen them falling into the mid third. I'll mostly be going 3 middle round QBs in these pre-draft contests. And mostly be going one early to mid round TE and two later TEs.

The top 16 minus CMC and Bowers are absolute smashes, imo. I'll happily be drafting BTJ, Ladd, Nabers, ARSB, and London. We're looking at a strong 1/2 turn after it was pretty weak last year, especially since Jeanty will be up there.
I agree on Brown. I'll have 0% in the pre-draft contests, then if he survives FA and the draft, I'll get my shares at this price since it's basically his ceiling. I'll also be fading Mixon, Kyren and Chuba for now at their prices, though Mixon and Chuba are correcting downward pretty quickly.
I mentioned the QBs above and think they will end up where they were last year. I'll definitely be light at the 2/3 turn.
McBride has the sticky stuff, just needs the TDs. We could easily look back at the end of the season and he has double digit TDs plus 100+ catches and 1,200 yards. So I get it. Him and Bowers will both need good TD variance to pay off on UD. They are better suited for DK scoring.
Jeanty is moving up quickly. In every draft I've done he's gone in the early to mid teens.
Drafting these pre-draft contests are more about certainty plus expected IRL draft highly projected rookie upside, especially before the combine and FA. So the locked in RBs, the locked in TEs, the clear top WRs, the QBs with strong starting power, etc. are way more valuable.
It looks like the Jags got them a Nate Hackett. I'll be staying away from all players except for BTJ. This will be a one and done for Cohen.
DUUUVVVAALLL lol. The guy is definitely awkward, but I'm always willing to bet on the upside of first year HCs, especially offensive guys.
The good news is you don't have to pay much for the Jags to start. But I do expect them to add RB and/or WR.
BTJ at 11 but then
Etienne - 132
Tank - 135
Trevor - 136
Kirk - 145
Engram - 149
Gabe - 227
Washington - 238
Strange - 239
