What'd You Shoot Today? (Golf BBV Thread)

Today was a really dumb one. Hit 6/9 greens on the back (one being a par 5 in 2) ended up with 7 bogeys and 2 pars.

Tomorrow is another day, although the Z-Blade has been placed on double secret probation.

lulz. 46 in league play. holes 3-4-5 were double/double/quintuple

A god damn heroic 46.

no foolin'. nice work on the other six holes

hole 5....tiny elevated green.....you miss left or right you in trouble. i missed right. i then chipped over (4). chipped over (5). chipped over (6). chipped over (7). chipped over (8). chipped on one handed because why not (9). made putt.

Shot 84 and 82 the last 2 times I played this 35/37 Par 72.

91(42/49)
2/14 fairways, 3/18 greens.
6 pars, 7 bogeys, 3 doubles and 2 triples.
4 1-putts, 1 3-putt. 33 putts.

I stunk.

Back on the home course tomorrow.

godspeed

took several dozen flails on the range without remotely coming close to finding the face so backed out, would have been a horrible experience otherwise.
still rode with them for 11 holes and jabbered a bit

total head case atm

Sometimes you just have to push through and swing the clubs. About 4 weeks ago I had a multi-round shanks experience. Kept going and the following week fired two of my lowest rounds of the year.

agree, just didn't want to do it on the course. it will be a busy weekend of 'pushing through'.

Back on the 72(36/36) 6200 yard home course.

83(39/44)
8/14 fairways, 8/18 greens.
1 birdie, 10 pars, 4 bogeys, 2 doubles and a quad.
4 1-putts, 4 3-whacks. 36 putts.

Managed to 3-putt par another par 5 today after a brilliant 2nd shot.

Quad on 17 after hooking my tee shot OB destroyed any hopes for my 2nd sub-80 round.

Playing a country club tomorrow.

Well, no shame in it I guess. Shot a cool 93 for my worst round of the year in day 1 of club champs. 51-42. Started double-double-triple-double-par-quad. Toss in another double on 9 and a triple on 17.

Naturally? Had to re-tee on 17 and found the swing. Pumped my tee shot on 18. Day 2 today. I'm back, baby.

47, 34.7/132

22 putts, no triples, no pars or better.

do not give a $hit about your back nine so just continue keeping it to yourself

41-48-89. No birdies, 5 double bogeys. 70.1/124/6149.

Awful. Worst ball striking day in a couple months at least. Lousy chipping. Only occasionally decent putting saved a sub 100 score.

2 man scramble on the bonus nine, we shot +2 for DFL.

I wish. Not today, so unsatisfied

Respectable 40-39-79 today for second best score in the flight (after the second worst score yesterday). 2 birds, grinded my face off on the greens. Sadly it was not enough, missing the cut by 2.

Playing a country club tomorrow.

72(35/37) 6200 yards 69.9/130

Never played here before. Playing with friends who are members.
HOT. 90s and sunny. 5-15mph winds.

91(45/46)
4/13 fairways, 4/18 greens.
6 pars, 5 bogeys, 7 doubles.
3 1-putts, 2 3-putts. 35 putts.

Just didn't have it.

Back to the public courses tomorrow.

40 (par 36). No birdies, no double bogeys.

Wasn't sure I was going to be able to play today, could hardly walk this morning, left knee issues. Gave it a go and it was interesting, had to adjust my swing to avoid most use of the left leg. Hit a couple poor shots, but mostly hit the ball fine. Putting was poor.

Quit after nine due to slow pace and brutal humidity.

Quit after nine due to slow pace and brutal humidity.

my most often recent reason for quiting is brutal humility
paid a pga pro $140 today to give me a quick shank fix and it seems to be working so far
simplified summary: everything was open at the top except any chance to square the clubface before interacting with the ball
current temporary fix is an extremely strong left hand grip and exaggerating shutting the face in every part of the swing

My 90 year old father quit 30+ years ago because, as he put it, "It was self-humbling beyond my ability to cope."

72(35/37) Back to the public courses tomorrow.

72(35/37) 6200 yards 70.1/123

88(40/48)
5/14 fairways, 7/18 greens.
1 birdie, 8 pars, 3 bogeys, 5 doubles and a QUAD.
4 1-putts, 2 3-putts. 34 putts.

Lost at least 6 balls, 2 on the QUAD hole.

Was going to take tomorrow off, but made a tee time just in case.

Back on the 72(36/36) [70.3/124]6200 yard home course.
Low 80s and sunny with 5-15mph winds. Great day to golf.

Started on #10.
93(47/46)
7/14 fairways, 5/18 greens.
2 birdies, 2 pars, 8 bogeys, 4 doubles, a triple and a QUAD.
2 1-putts, 2 3-putts. 36 putts.

Stunk pretty much the entire day (started +7 thru 3) until.....On the 380 yard par 4 final hole I piped the drive to 95 yards and hit 56 degree to within a foot to close with 2 perfect shots & a tap-in birdie.

Back at it tomorrow.
