Solo poker trip, 4/19-4/21, first attempt at a trip report
Hi everyone! I've enjoyed other people's trip reports for years, and now it's time to contribute.
First, a little about
On the list for 1-3 again at Aria. Next up. I'll keep my options open if it's lame however.
First hand back at it. I'm in the big blind with AK. Utg raises. One valet. I bump to 45. He goes all in. I call. He has AJss and I won. Woo.
Slowly losing money. It's a good table, but nothing happening. Sitting with 260.
Poker is dumb sometimes. 😀
I get AA in sb. There's a raise to 15 early, no callers. I bump to 45. Raiser calls and I announce 50 dark. Flop comes AJJ and he goes all in. I call. He had AK and I am now up a little.
Long night with a few too many drinks and other things. Calling it down $29 after 6hours 47 minutes of play.
Nice TR so far, keep it up! Thank you!
Up way too early and considering jumping back into a game. I wandered around Aria trying to find a Jacks or Better game with a reasonable pay table, but the best I could find is 9/5?
Also amazed at people playing triple green roulette when there's double green right next to it.
Kind of like how A&W went busto trying to sell a 1/3 pound burger cheaper than McDonald’s quarter pounder with cheese, because they thought 1/3 was less than 1/4
Dusted off $500 when I had KQdd flush draw vs A3dd with a flush draw on flop. We both missed but ace high stacked me.
Rebuy!
I get KK first to act. Make it 15. One caller than a suspect player makes it 45. I probably misplay by just calling here.
Flop is slow and safe. Check and check to raider. He bets something like 125 with maybe 250 back. I raise all in. He calls and run out is good and I win.
Back up to about $870. Fighting back.
Keep up the run good and good play. Dinner looked great -- I hope that steak was medium rare to rare 😉
Flop a set of sixes in a 3 way raised pot. Dangerous board with a possible straight made plus a flush draw. Boat up on the river and shove. Guy with 100% VPIP thinks forever and finally calls. Woo! Up over $1500 now

100% VPIP guy got stacked and left to get more money. The table is now significantly less exciting while we all wait to see if he comes back.
I think I'm going to try Javier's here at the Aria tonight. Anyone eat there recently?

Loving the TR! Gogogo! Getting me fired up for my WSOP trip (17-28 JUN; firing Senior & Super Senior...geezer poker...woo hoo!)

Yes Javiers is amazing, I go there several times a week.
Just left Aria too btw, you were probably at the newly opened table? I was at the overnight game in the far corner.
Nice TR!

Table became bad, and I'm feeling the effects of only 4 hours of sleep. Cashed out plus $427. Going to try to take a nap.

Forgot to post that before I went back to my room. I rested and considering where to play next. Maybe Aria again a bit before dinner.
And we are playing again!

ruh roh!
I was up about $250 shortly after I sat down. Sadly a string of not good raises and not much hands has me back to my starting $500 stack.
