Solo poker trip, 4/19-4/21, first attempt at a trip report

Raise KK to 25 early. One caller who is loose and it's birthday. He has about 250. Flop comes K97cc. I check. Birthday boy bets 35 and I call. Safe turn and I check again. He goes all in and I call. Turns out he was slow playing AA and gets no help. Now I'm up to about $750. Let's go!

And then shortly after get QQ in big blind. The straddle is on and a bunch of callers. I make it 40. Straddle calls. The birthday boy again. Everyone else folds.

Flop is AQx. I bet 15 and he folds. Whoops! Should have checked I guess. But things are going well.

There's a young woman at my table who is playing any suited cards to raises. 10-3 and 10-5 were her recent winners. She's the silent assassin. Her 150 when I sat down is now close to 380.

Silent assassin is gone. Left to go see her favorite DJ. Birthday boy and wife are gone now too. Table is quieting down now. Still pretty soft with a few spots. We will see how new players are. Very old guy just sat down, buying in for 250. Also a hoodie beats headphone watching tv guy. Boo.

Man, I'm such a boring poker player. It's rare that it feels like I'm running over a table with my hand selection. 😀

Had the chile verde. It was great. I feel like 3 tortillas in the basket they brought me isn't enough however. A little cheap of them.

Excellent food, but the vibe is a little too loud and party like for me however.

Dribbling away money with nothing happening. Down about 110. I'm also so tired. I may call it early and then try to come back in the early morning when I'm fresh. In fact, I'm going to take an edible with the plan for going to bed.

In for $500, out for $420 on 4/20. Hah. Getting some sleep now. Fight another day.

Started shortly after, and got a table massage for 30 minutes. First coffee in progress.

Late to the party, but replying to sub as I catch up on your TR. Loving the usage of the Poker Income app and detailed record keeping for so many years! Do you also keep track of in-game tips and trip expenses?

I use the tips field to track any time I pay for anything out of my stack. So dealer tips, beverage or food tips, massages if I pay from stack, etc.

Got it all in when someone raised my c-bet, hoping my flush draw plus overs would save me if he calls.

Hit my nut flush on the turn and doubled up!

We got to 3 handed at the table and decided to break it and be seated elsewhere. Moved to what is likely a much better table. There's a possibly extremely drunk guy with a lot of chips.

Not getting much, but holding at about plus $300. Drunk guy is entertaining and moving a lot of money around. He's still got about $1000 in front of him, but it may be down a $1000 from when I sat down.

Drunk guy is now down to about $530. It's going to be gone before I get a hand against him.

The drunk guy left the table before losing his last $500. This table is no longer good. Got about an hour before I should leave for the airport.

Changed tables and ordered a slice of pepperoni.

The pizza place at the new Proper Eats food court upstairs is good.

Table isn't amazing, but better than the one I left. Up $200 and change still. No hands.
