MuckPls and everyone else vs Vegas (10/4 to 10/20)
Figured I’d start the TR as I have some time on my hand before my trip. Where to start…
Haven’t really played any poker a
I can only repeat what I have said before - it feels impossible to ever get tired of Vegas. Even though the games have gotten marginally tougher the last few years, it still feels like there are money to be won. And just being there and enjoying life outside of poker feels amazing too, although a 7 day trips a bit on the short side.
I will probably be back in Vegas again before you know it, although if I go on a solo-trip again I am strongly considering to do a Leon and only post a TR after the
this. as bad as everybody says Vegas has gotten, and so much worse than previous decades, I love the city and can't wait to return.
and actually, after mildly nagging my wife following her recent 3-week trip overseas, she has given me a pass to go in early November. I just have to see if I can make it work.
a couple of the midweek days are super expensive right now, so I will probably have to pay my highest hotel night price ever, even on a Tuesday!

Vegas is not bad but the prices have definitely gone up insane amounts even the short period I’ve been going (10 years now). It’s at a point where the average person probably struggles to go for a longer period.

yeah. I reconsidered going in a few weeks because hotels alone would be over $500 for four midweek nights

Guy at my table at Aria a week ago said that he’s staying at the Linq, did a last minute booking and is paying $500 + resort fees PER NIGHT! At the Linq! I was already complaining that I paid $0 and some resort fees because the hotel room was absolutely disgusting.
They are very good at taking advantage of low availability. Some people just don't know much about the Vegas hotel room market and think that's what they have to pay to stay in Vegas. There's a much wider disparity of prices these days for essentially the same room. Someone might pay zero or $30 for a room and someone else paid hundreds for the room next to them.
If you're paying for a room , you aren't betting enough...
Fantastic photos! You even make a House Finch look exotic and regal 😉
As always, nice nature shots, Muck!
Those black birds look freaky. Looks like a P-38 in that pic.
I'd suggest southern Arizona, supposedly a lot more different birds (the noisy ones drive me crazy), but it's way too far to drive.
Final update, this time for real. I mentioned I bumped into a Swedish Twitch/Youtube streamer from Malta in Vegas (LetsGiveitaspin) and we had an absolute crazy two days of them winning and then losing $150k on video poker at Aria high limit with a TON of shots and drinks flowing.
Anyhow, video of VP session with with Patrik Antonious as guest star below, and you can see my ugly face at 16:30 in the video (beard + Superdry hoodie)
They should be getting some monster comps for next trip, lol.
But geez, I've never seen so many dealt trips. And ten dollar credits? Are those guys trust fund babies?
Great photos!
