It’s been 3 years since my last Veg
Sadly, nothing makes practical sense for the remainder of the WSOP this year. I tried to make it work and it doesn't really work.
I usually do an off the grid trip in August, and that looks likely again this year.
If anyone is already thinking about 2027, Caesars is taking bookings for next summer. I may or may not have reserved 7 nights for June 2027...

CET is having a 10x multiplier period in August. It's good to be Diamond during WSOP...
50-something year old me would likely turn my nose to 15 year old me's stash, but I guess that's with the benefit of full legalization. I don't pay much more now for 'low grade' kind bud from the dispensary than I did for the worst ditch weed from my buddy's older brother back in the day.
it's only partially legal here. son is buying illegally but you can get it prescribed by doctors for a variety of 'medical' reasons. good friend of mine was early into the biz & has sold his company & infrastructure for a very nice amount of $$ in scrip to a larger company
he now has the most incredible job in the new company - he does npd on new gummy formulations
I'm not intending to turn this into an ongoing mtt log but I had an mtt report ready to go after I made day two of a $1500 yesterday.
Then about 40 mins into day 2, I lost AK all in pre vs AQ about 6 off the bubble about for a 45bb pot & I can't be don't have the heart
Slightly strange day 1 tbh where all of my chips came from either pre flop aggression or winning all ins....I simply could not win a pot post flop at all...never had the best hand couldn't seem to bluff successfully either. But I was maniacal at times pre flop - two players called me a bully which gave me wood. Sadly a lot of the time I was going nuts with JJ+, AQ+ & they were folding the best hand. Tragically, I think I was 0/12 from big blind defence including one truly horriffcally played check raise bluff near the end of the day that I think I think may keep me up at night for a while.
But I won some all ins

weird hand with 26bb where utg opens, I flat button with 88, BB squeezes I shove for the full 26 he calls with KJo and I hold
I lose a big all in with QQ against a 5 bet K10ss and he hit a K in the window
lost a flip with AQ vs JJ
win 99 vs 77
the huge learning from the last 12 hours was how much people fold pre flop. Of course also how you have to win 70%ers near the bubble
But I was maniacal at times pre flop - two players called me a bully which gave me wood.
