Yeah, what leon wrote. I've also had the good fortune to meet some 2p2ers, all good folks and fun to spend time with.

Slept a lot better last night but woke up feeling a little queasy. Those two carb loaded Italian feasts the last 2 nights are taking their toll. I am used to eating one keto meal a day and I need to cool it on the heavy meals 😀 Went out for another nice long walk and plan was to get a pre-tourney breakfast. But right now I have no appetite at all. Plan to bring a couple of granola bars and some nuts with me to the tournament but this could very easily be a pure fast day which my body is telling me I need.

Will be playing the Venetian 1100 senior day 1A. Hope I can run pure and avoid the mistakes. I made a few yesterday but that experience was a great way to shake the dust off of my tourney game. When I got back to the room I fired up the solver to see how I handed a few tricky spots and I did good 😀 Just need to focus, take a beat before I act and hopefully run pure and avoid all mistakes big and small.

Second break 43.2 k been totally card dead for the last couple levels. Worst part is all the real donkey players at my table and got knocked out I didn't get their money.

Third break 140k average is about 97k. Registration finally closes at the end of this break. Looks like about 98 people left.

Is that the Roman Goddess Fortuna or the Greek Goddess Tyche?

That is Fortuna the Roman Godess of fortune, chance and fate. You want her on your side if you are in a poker tournament! There is a big version of her outside The Chicago Board of Trade where I plied my craft so I got a little one for my trading desk. Then it finally occured to me she would make a great card protector 😀

Okay so I bagged $237k day two will be on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. it's a major relief to have a bag in hand as my biggest fear was missing everything this trip. I had long periods of car deadness followed by short spurts of massive heaters where I would win three or four hands in a row. The whole thing is pretty much of a blur right now.

I really didn't eat anything today just a couple granola bars during breaks. So right now I'm up in the room sipping on a beer and munching on peanuts and Chex mix. The plan for tomorrow is another shot at the Colossus. Also I'm kind of hungry right now but I'm not going to eat so I'm sure I'll have a real nice breakfast tomorrow.

The play style in this tournament was very mixed there were a lot of very good players and a lot of total donkeys. Most of the donkeys were gone by the second break though so that tells you the late Reg crowd doesn't get a shot at the real dead money.

I was in a lot better shape than I ended up because I made a minor mistake right before the bubble and I also got screwed by the blinds in hand for hand as I had to pay the first and last blind at my table. I still ended up second and chips at my table but it was pretty close. We had one guy the chip leader who was just robbing and stomping over the whole table and he ended up with a massive stack.

I'm looking forward to Sunday as who wouldn't. It's nice to know that I'll have a cash in hand and who knows it might be a big one.

Just before the last break when we went hand to hand Big Whale stopped by my table to say hi so it was nice to see him as well as the rest of my LVL Brethren that I have visited with so far this trip.

Right now I'm probably going to sip on another beer or two before trying to get a great night's sleep but before that I want to catch up on all the trip reports that are going on right now as I know I'm not the only game in town.

The real question: Is he calling the escort hotline “girls girls girls” or complaining about the president?

Out of curiosity, what did you trade mostly?

Prob the latter. Wife prob keeps him in line after past indiscretions, but he never seems to lack for the complaining.
