Chica dinner with a nice $150 off $300 from InKind, so roughly $100 for a $300 dinner using Costco cards, not bad. That said, it was good but definitely not worth $360 with tip for two people if I was paying full price. Argue amongst yourselves whether this is casual or fine dining.

House margarita - 6/10 nothing standout, not nearly as good as Toca or Amaya’s
Birria empanadas $20 - 6.5/10
Tuna tartare $28 - 7/10, chips taste like they came from a bag
Skirt steak $72 - 9/10 this was great
Horchata affogato cocktail/dessert thing - 10/10 amazing

Second time I’ve been to Chica, first time was also somewhat underwhelming. If it wasn’t heavily discounted I wouldn’t go back, but the skirt steak and affogato were the winners for sure

RRL returning to Cosmo for 3 weeks in April. I admit that I was intrigued, but I'm not flying out as the acts might suck and MGM is only doing this to charge $25+ for bite sized tacos.

Emeril’s New Orleans Fish House still being open is amazing to me, I thought it was really good the last time I had it like 15+ years ago…kinda want to try again now.

Second that, I believe 6 years ago for me. Delmonico certainly has stood the test of time (although the competition is crazy at Venetian), I would be far more likely to give emeril’s a shot over some of the garbage offerings at mgm.

he went home to Hawaii for a while and returned in 2019.

Emeril's in New Orleans is good enough. Vegas sucks for cajun food.

X Pot might have the best happy hour on the strip and it’s 7 days a week until 8pm. Buy one get one free cocktails and discounted menu items.

Wagyu skewers $12 - 9/10 fantastic
Wagyu dumplings $11 - 8/10 really good but I’d probably take Shang or China Mama’s over these
X Old Fashioned $18 - solid old fashioned pretty standard, 8/10
One Mo cocktail $0 - a frothy espresso martini 8.5/10

$44 plus tip for two cocktails and two apps is hard to beat. It was also free with Venetian poker comps.

Apparently it's still possible that I go. It's on the 1.5 level of Chandelier, which gives it some height that the Opium location didn't.

Are there any performers that have been confirmed? I follow Savannah Lynx on IG and I'm assuming she's a no. Not that they need to have the same performers.

Went back to X pot for happy hour, big fan.

Kemuri X cocktail $21 - 7/10, supposed to come with one of those smoke contraptions but theirs was dead so no smoke. One notch below their old fashioned, but similar.

Love and money cocktail $18 (free for happy hour BOGO) - 9/10. Some kind of green tea vodka, grapefruit, tea syrup combo thing. Really good and different.

Wagyu carpaccio $22 - 9/10, this was great and pretty light, could easily eat several of these

Firecracker shrimp $11 - 9/10, wasabi aioli sauce was really good, nicely fried, big shrimp. A solid 5-6 large shrimp, most places would charge $25-35 for this

Just BOGO cocktails and discounted food. Think it’s 4-8pm 7 days a week.

So, we’re going to Vegas the 6th of april and we’re all big sushi fans. I used to go to Sen of Japan and Naked Fish. I see they’re in the first post, but like my experience, that’s about 10 years ago.

Are they still as good? Or are there any other (on strip) options?

Wakuda tonight, thought this would be more like fine dining but they had a DJ and it was loud as hell in the bar.

Cocktail - 9/10
Wasabi Caesar salad - 10/10, great salad. Up there with Toca for best salad in Vegas
Beef skewer - 8.5/10
Pork belly skewer - 9/10
Grilled salmon with ginger miso - 7.5/10

$115 plus tip for all of that. Probably could have ordered one less thing, filling enough. Salad was big. Will go back to try more stuff soon.

What did you order?

I’ve ordered their whole menu I think and there's nothing bad to be found. Was with some folks who were less adventurous so kept it pretty simple: oysters, tom yum soup, deep fried pork belly, steak salad, ribeye basil, Duck Panang curry, khao soi, some Pinot blanc, maybe I’m missing sthg. Plus they had coconut ice cream w sticky rice, egg ice cream (wtf but it was good), and a paratha puff which was like a puff pastry wrapped banana and Nutella and some other cream. This was a pretty light dinner for 6 but 4 of 6 had lunch and this was a 5p dinner.

Then went and saw Aziz, who was fine, but Ricky Velez opened for him and he crushed.

Yeah, I’ve never had anything but great meals at Lamaii and that is one of my favorite and most often recommended restaurants in town.
