New downtown spot Echo just opened a few days ago. Interesting concept, cocktails and small bites centered around a super high end McIntosh sound system. The subwoofer they have is $35k alone, I’m sure the whole setup was well over $100k.
The owner is Natalie Young who also had some other downtown restaurants like Eat. Food was very good.
Definitely would go back, very cool spot and good to see it was busy while I was there since they just opened.

I hate to break it to you... but:

It’s at the Colorado building in the arts district. I won’t pretend to have any clue what that audio setup is but I’ll bet it sounds great.
That's an older set up of mine that I posted... same legacy speakers that the lounge is using.
The La Scala, and its been in continuous production since 1963 without a single design change beyond some minor tweaks to modernize them. A testament to the design prowess of Paul W Klipsch. That is probably why they chose those speakers. PwK was originally commissioned to desgn the speaker for use at political rallies, specifically for Winthrop Rockefeller.
PwK also has his flagship speaker design that has been in continuous production since 1947... the Klipschorn.

No other speaker has been in production for that length of time... there is a method to all that angular madness
Cool stuff Mike, but next time post a pic of you with a sandwich in the room so we can get back on topic. 😀
