Definitely jelly of this.
I'm guessing my life circumstances will change in another decade to the point where the wife and I could at least consider moving somewhere very different for our retirement years. Waterfront, or at the very least waterview, would be high on my list of nice-to-haves... if we could swing it.

58f is ****ing freezing. As a top temperature that would be one of the coldest days in Winter here
You guys have all got Stockholm Syndrome. It’s touching in a way that you all believe you’re happy with 6-7 months of grim dark cold weather.
You’re brave and I’m proud of you all
Apart from the people in Canada. You get what you deserve
300 days of sunshine in Colorado every year
So says Big Colorado Tourism. Google AI says 252.
Phoenix is listed at 300, but I think that might be a bit low. I'd be very surprised if we get two months' worth of overcast (anything over 'partly cloudy'?) per year.
Colorado would be the cold Nth America place I reckon I’d be happiest in tbh. Albeit i could see the other mountainous states and areas being fine too - haven’t been to many other than the Tahoe region which was tbh ****ing ossum too.
I just couldn’t live in a cold dark flat or exposed place or city
Lol. Sounds like a plan.
Are the crowns gifts, sale items, or did you and the missus get roped into being royalty again?

1% of $1M is my bonus on every project.
Available for hire. By LA do you mean Los Angeles or Louisiana?

They are gifts. When the current King and Queen step down this weekend, they'll be made Duke and Duchess, and these are the coronets for that.
I don't sell jewelry, as I don't want to turn my hobby into a job. Everything I make is either a gift or a trade for someone else's work. In this case, their friends are paying for the materials and I'm gifting the labor, so it's a gift from several of us.
Def not ready to be royalty again right now. Life has been crazy enough.
I remember in a store a few years back having a bill come to something like $10.20. I had loose coins but only a $20 bill so I gave her $20.20 and the girl behind the register huffed, got out a calculated and plugged in $20.20 - $10.20 to work out what change to give me

Obviously hire the person who writes down "1OnE miLioN" on the piece of paper, rips it into 100 pieces, carefully contemplates, and declares a numeric answer.

Is the $1m before or after materials fell off the back of the truck?
