Just spinning again this morning, but I found a work around - I signed in to the "new" forum with no problem then managed to switch over to the old version with no problems. Just a pain in the butt but doable for now.

Is this an attempt to force everyone to the new version?

It's doing that to me when I click the bookmark that takes me to my subscriptions, but doesn't when I just go to forumserver.twoplustwo.com

My regular 2+2 access seems to be back today but the feeds from WSOP are all down - the poker go and the you tube live streams both went down as well as the updates from pokernews. I saw one speculation that the internet is down at WSOP.

You tube feed is back at least and they say poker go is also running (haven't tried it)

Probably the guy who started the thread asking where administration for forumserver.twoplustwo.com (or whatever he titled it) is.

Since the streams for WSOP main event were also brought down for a while today I thought maybe all of this was a plot orchestrated by Kassouf or his acolytes (he got a lot of criticism in the thread about him in NVG).

was 20 points away from unlocking something that was $75 and $20 in freeplay the two other times i did it

so i know it's not much and will likely be more in the $20 neighborhood than the $75

but there's nothing out there that's good - there was some stuff out there earlier, i was even playing the very marginal stuff and it all worked out, i'm up a few hundred while passing time in between and justifying the commute to make sports bets at a string of casinos which have no poker

i want to go

but i can easily burn through those $20 points if i find the right play

i also can't play bj to get there, after a recent 86ing for that - i'm very cautious about it and especially can't get 86'd here because they have some incredibly valuable rules on a variant of nfl bets which will be very profitable - far more than whatever run i could get out of bj - most likely they just back me off and i can use the sportsbook still - but i really don't want to risk that

so i go to the nearby tribal dispensary - get a $3 joint and a lighter - walk about 5 minutes down the road and into the woods and smoke about 5-6 puffs on it before putting it out - having smoked maybe 2% of the thing

i'm blasted, long gone and make my way back there

now the casino is a far more provocative experience - i'm not just tuning everything out but absorbing it all and coming with much more coherent terms with myself that jfc this is a miserable experience - everyone and everything here is just a loser or gambling degenerate - maybe there's a few people here or there that i actually think are admirable people - but most i can't stand and look down upon

i hate it all - here i am walking laps, smashing buttons, staring at screens, standing behind idiot after idiot fail to figure out how the ice machine dispenses ice at the drink station - many of which i've seen make that same mistake an hour earlier - they clearly aren't going to ever bother to not look like an idiot each time they grab a beverage

i find a play, grind those last few points, pause midway because i have had the freeplay expire on me before so i go to the kiosk to claim it and then come back to finish the play with the freeplay and see i got $40

finish the play, made about $70 so that's great for 10 minutes of time (would be $30 without that freeplay) and now can finally leave this self imposed prison and be a normal person interacting with others when i get back at 10:07 pm

That definitely sounds like the saga of someone who needs to transition.

I used to smoke every day for over a decade and then went years without and now fairly infrequently and my tolerance is wack now so I basically light it, take a few small drags and then drop it back in the tube

there's 3 of us playing - everyone is raising and lowering bets together - they are doing it incorrectly often enough that i think they are ballparking rather than counting but instead of leaving i use this as cover to go "ah man if you all are pressing then i will press too!" but again i'm sure not to mirror their actions and occasionally drop when i shouldn't and vice versa for enough redirection so if 3 guys all lowering and raising bets in unison sets off alarm bells it'll be me who's the innocent bystander

i'm also leaving the table regularly, trying to stay clear of this situation in general and trying to show how degen i am with more and more sports tickets

earlier that day i was playing a slot and saw an ap come and check - i usually ask them what their min play is - not really to get any alpha but because most ap slot people are degenerate scumbags of the earth who have zero concept of how to interact with people and are terrified of giving up an edge so it's elite trolling most of the time watching them give you side eye and silently walk away or watch them pretend like they are just methodically going through all the denoms and bet sizings of each machine for 3 minutes for the lols and don't have a purpose (this is what most people do - they feign ignorance - all that despite that i'm clearly sitting there button mashing to speed run a +ev situation so i'm obviously not there for the rush but trying to get my expected payout so they should know there's literally no point in pretending like there's nothing to see here)

so when they do that i then challenge them, say "just be an adult and say you don't want to talk about that with me, don't pretend like you don't know what i'm talking about"

on very very rare occasions, the person responds positively and we share info and both learn some new stuff - the better info they give me the better i give them and so on and so forth - this has happened 3 times total - the other times are over 100

so that day the guy immediately responds and tells me what his min play is - i'm super surprised because that's way more conservative than my own min play (some machines theres good public data on so finding a consensus number where it becomes +EV is simple but with a lot of these machines, especially the newer ones, there's not much good public info on them - but this is also where the money is to be made as there's fewer vultures and zero casuals - ie a lot of degen slot players will check for +ev spots themselves before settling in on a -ev one if they don't see any at first glance - you'll often see them sit down and put in the money and card and scroll through the options and finding the "best one to play" which is indeed the best one but still very much in a -ev state

anyway, so this guy is super friendly, so much that my guard is up a little bit but i'm learning good stuff from him and getting a good idea of what "my future" would entail if i embraced this for realskis (really grim - in fact the reason why i liked this guy so much was he was like "i'm a lebanese immigrant with zero education, i have no choice but to do this, you are young and have options - what are you doing here?) etc etc

but the reason i'm mentioning walking around the floor with this guy is that i did kinda wonder in the back of my mind if this was bad for me to be seen galavanting with an obvious ap slot grinder who was there every day in between bj sessions and sure enough while walking the floor with him security comes over - says i'm banned from the casino and need to go get my chips

i'm super polite the entire time but this woman is very rude and standoffish from the start - i've been backed off at two places previously and both times it was a very pleasant experience, almost wanted to shake their hands afterwards as they were super friendly and just like "bruh we can't afford to let you play bj anymore" - whereas this place was more treating me like i was caught cheating or something

so i go grab my chips and they say they'll escort me to the cage and then escort me out and i'm like, i also have sports tickets that are still pending - so we go to the sportsbook

and here's the thing - they voided them all - even the ones which had already won but hadn't yet settled - ie a strikeout bet where the game was in the 9th inning and the pitcher was already out of the game so we knew it had won and nothing would happen to make the ticket void but because these don't get graded until after the game ends it's still technically pending - so a whole bunch of stuff like that - even stuff like an over that already hit but again the game still pending etc

i ask to wait for them to settle - this is denied
i ask to come back tomorrow and cash them - this is denied
i ask to get them transferred digitally to an app so i can cash out online - this is denied
i ask them to pay out now - this is denied

they just void all the tickets and refund them all

difference is about 2k

idk yet what to do about this - i feel like at worst i can blow up the vegas based sportsbook they collaborate with on twitter - but want to see if i can get this resolved amicably first

During my 21 days we had chips confiscated twice. The amts were large enough that we lawyered up to get em back. This amt is way too small to really do anything imo.

there is definitely a learning curve in really understanding the host of issues that come up with AP. It seems like a lot of valuable lessons were learned from this experience. I tend to stew on this stuff when it happens and vow to have better downfield vision so I dont go down the same path in the future.

Yeah, I actually started with slightly more than the prescribed weight of shrooms but they reduced down to almost nothing, despite the oil, butter and wine.

There’s a few things I might do slightly different next time and adding 20% more mushrooms would be one of them. Not that I’ll do this too often - once a year max, but probably not even that often

Have you done one? What to serve it with was another thing I had to think through. Ended up with creamy horseradish mashed potatoes and green beans, which I think was about right. Didn’t do a gravy/jus which I might do next time though
