Hero bluffs river in about a 150bb pot.
V tanks, talks, finally asks for a coin. Heads is fold, tails is call.
He tosses heads. Decides on a do over. Tosses heads again. Tosses heads a 3rd time. Tanks some more and calls.
Concur that Project Hail Mary is a great movie.
I really enjoyed the book, so I was already going to like it.
It’s the biggest movie in America, might be the biggest movie of the year.
Disclaimer: the last movie I saw in the theater before this was Oppenheimer, so I don’t go out for just any movie.
The previews did nothing for me... the previews make it look cheesy. Mrs Breeze and I decided to pass on PHM.
Well aren’t you just bringing the rain cloud
Well it's still snowing here so yeah the joke's on me.
But I booked TWO trips to Vegas today. 69 days to Vegas!
thinking of our awesome RTP ♥
i might get out to vegas for part of wsop this year, my chess playing friend (really) wants to do the tag team event with me.

I have almost no interaction with him, but he seems like a cool, earnest guy. I was going to invite him to hang out SB weekend but stuff happened.
Anyway, I'm sure he'll read this at some point. Wishing you the best, and hopefully we can do it some other time.
Kinda regret not going a little out of my way / comfort zone to introduce myself when I randomly saw him and his dog in a breakfast lineup earlier this year.

thanks guys
Good to hear from you, RtP. Hope you are getting better quickly.
Glad you’re ok. Are you able/comfortable talking about what happened?
Appreciate it. I had a brief lapse of consciousness while driving, no drugs or substances involved. Earlier that day I drove from Laughlin to Kaiser Palm Desert for bloodwork and to pick up meds, and this happened on the way back after lunch.
Ended up going face first into a rocky wall or boulder at highway speed, the car rolled over, I lost consciousness on impact and was trapped in the vehicle for a bit with my dog until help arrived. They smashed the sunroof to get us out, glass everywhere, I still had glass in my eyelids and skin hours after the accident. Fortunately no other cars were involved. A bystander saw everything and called emergency services, which probably made a big difference. My dog got separated when I was airlifted, and communication was poor initially, but everything worked out on that front thanks to my mom and a good samaritan. Got airlifted and treated, injuries but expected to recover in a few months with proper PT and follow up care.
woah, glad things are alright
how on earth did your dog survive that?
Whoa. You’ve done well to survive.
Glass in the eyelid sounds terrifying
Glad to hear from you RTP.
Glad to hear you and dog are doing ok now. Please get a restraining device for the pup, and belt him/her in too in future!
Happy Easter, degens!
Yea Happy Easter you crazy fcuking basterds!
This is how well I'm currently running.
A bunch of money goes in preflop. The rest goes in on the flop. It's a $450 pot which is decent sized for our 1/3 NL game.
When he calls my all-in, I instantly table my KK and say "I've got pocket kings".
He's a pleasant enough ~same age semi-reg whose name I don't know but we've just been talking for a bit before he moved across the table. Seems maybe a little out-of-it today as earlier he mucked his big blind in a limped pot, but whatever. He holds on to his cards, nods, and says "Yeah, you're good", and then smiling adds "...for now".
The 5 high flop now sees a 6 turn. The rest of the table starts lol'ing and asking for a 3 on the river to chop. I wince a bit as this seems a little in violation of OPTAH, but it's a pretty easy going social room.
3 on the river. The board now reads 54263. Lol. The table erupts in laughter and some "Chop it up!"s, and even I can't help to stifle a small smile myself.
The dealer turns to the dood but he's been laser focused on the runout and obviously his overpair didn't catch his set making card. He has somehow tuned out all of the noise surrounding him, nods his head, states, "Yup, you're good, nice hand", taps the table and mucks his hand towards the dealer.
The table draws in its breath. The dealer takes a moment to look around, then shrugs, and finally slowly gathers the cards and puts them into the muck. There are a few audible gasps.
I'm not even sure what to do honestly, I think it's the very first time I've ever been put in this spot, but before I'm forced to make an awkward decision about anything, he taps the table again, says "hold please", and then gets up to go on a walk to no doubt lament yet another unhelpful runout.
We all agree to not really mention anything when he comes back so as to make him feel too bad.

Happy End of Lent / Easter day.

By the #s I am damn old. Previous dry Lents ended in me fititng into pants from a decade ago. Sunday I just fit into what I thought were normal pants. Most likely the new normal is another size. Final score is 185 35" (started at something like 196 in lol-globogym scale).
I played some 1/3 on Saturday at the casino. 6 hours, -$165.
Some big hands
Button straddle 6, raise 4 limpers to $20 with J9o. Eff stacks $375. Flop 8TQ. checks to me. I $25, EP raises to $100, I flat. Turn A, EP check/jams, I snap, good vs AQo.
UTG+1 raise KK to 15 (standard at this table), LP middle aged continental indian raises to $50. I jam $420 effective. He snaps. Flop QQx, no help. GG man.
I reload, few hands later Button I raise a few limpers to $20 with 5s7s. Flop Js 8h 4s. Checks to me, I $25, EP raises to $135, I say **** it jam, he snaps. Turn 6 SMFD buddy. He and his indian friends talk in punjabi about the hand for a while.
Drunk persian to my left is sitting on $1K stack and playing 80% VPIP. Eff $700. I raise red TT, he "misclick" flicks 4 chips in from a dirty stack that has a black chip in it. I'm pretty convinced it was a genuine accident, so I flat. Probably should've jammed. Flop 3s 6h Jc. He checks, I bet $100, he calls. Turn Js, he checks, I move to bet $150 and he's in the process of snapping before I cross the line so I check. Maybe another angle, but I don't think so.
Before the river he opens his hand to show As8s. River is a spade, he checks. I obviously check back. Weird hand.
One of the continental indians and I get in a hand where I raise button with 99. Flop 4h 8h Qs. Checks to me, I bet $25. Persian calls, indian guy calls. Turn Qx, checks to me, I bet $75. Persian folds his huge range, indian calls (uh oh). River Kx, indian leads 100. I convince myself it's busted hearts and punt $100 for funsies. Shown KQo obviously.
Every dealer push is a bomb pot, either 4-card or 5-card PLO with a cap of $250 per player postflop. I'm dealt QQJJ on the button. Flop Q T 8. Persian leads $70. Older Asian lady newly moved to table on $1000 flats. I flat. Probably should've jammed here but I didn't love it. Turn 9. Asian bets $180 for the cap. I hate my life and call. persian calls. River blank we lose to KJxx obviously. Persian tells me it was a bad beat because he had a set of TTT. That was the last hand of the night for me and I racked up
Good table
god bless the guy who limp calls with AQ pre and then goes to the mattresses with it once he has top pair

I played a daytime 1/3 game after checking out of a casino hotel. First hand was an 8 way limped pot.
I was in the bb with rags but flopped top two on Sth like 962r. Checks to the button who shoved $400. I call. He flips AA. I hold and he calls his wife and tells her he’s coming home because he can’t even win with Aces
