Because I’m not sure everyone just take 100% of dividends and reinvested all of it in stocks .
Like I said u can go all in and just invest stock if u think it’s right .

As for houses, yes u save rent but u spend a lot of that rent money saved to sustain your house health .
The difference in the end is usually just the cash u bought the house with (and the added appreciation or should I say the depreciation of the value of cash).

I was responding to the concept of investing in gold was a bad investment.
this makes absolutely no sense. rate of return is 10% per year on investments in s&p 500. Compare the price of gold from 1929 to now.
Like I’m sorry but gold is a horrible investment for pure suckers. The only people making money on gold are jewelers and gold stores that charge you a percent off of market price and resell off market price.
Yeah it’s an ok investment if you are already a multimillionaire and you want to diversify your portfolio. But the idea that you should have more than a few percent of your net worth in gold is what I was arguing against.
Fair enough though I would walk back that statement a little to say, for the vast majority of retail investors gold is not a good investment.

Here til I’m out of Monster Stack (mid-June) and then taking a break. Will prob come back before Main Event if I’m doing well. Staying home if I suck it up. Good start so far. Staying at Horseshoe.

Question to those playing in a casino where you can post between: do you take that option or do you just take the bb? Or do you do the spicy option of posting behind the button?
I used to post between, then moved to posting in the CO, now I only take the bb instead of the first two option. I find posting in the CO gets into too many low ev wide situations so I don’t do that much anymore. Of course, the bb is just a losing spot in general so I’m open to being wrong about that.

I slightly prefer posting in between to posting in the BB, particularly in a room where they let you chop 3 ways if it’s folded to the three blinds. I strongly prefer both options to posting in the CO.

Usually when this comes up most agree posting between is slightly better with posting CO and BB about the same. I think there might be some additional value in posting CO if the players don't understand just how wide you are, but seems like a lot of people have figured that out by now. This of course ignores the best strategy, which is straddling in UTG to create an image that gets paid off later.
I can 't remember the last time I was required to post to get a hand.
