What's the deal with accusations made about Anthony Zinno at Wynn/Encore at WPT December 2023?
Was listening to Only Friends Podcast Episode #443 and at approximately 16:52 an accusation is made about Anthony Zinno.
I'm having a hard time believing the accusation made, that Zinno took some dude named Corel's backpack during batting up of a 3k at Encore during WPT.
Does anyone have additional information or context?
When I sit down across the table from someone, I can tell immediately if they have chips. I can’t tell what color backpack they may have put under their seat 12 hours ago.

How does that matter if they have $19,500 or $20,500 and a few chips are stolen off their stack?
Does the amount stolen matter, or should the outrage start when any money is stolen?
Point is, we all leave money at the table, making like it is the victims fault (victim shaming) shouldn't be part of this.
I think you are missing the point as you appear to be the only one who thinks leaving 20K in chips on table is same as leaving 20K in cash in a duffel bag under the table

The question, if there is one, is whether he should be offering training content. Which you can make new topic about in the poker schools/coaches discussion forum, if you like.

Yep. You can't even pick up a chip off the floor and keep it in most of these places, let alone walk out with someone's personal bag you find. Hand it to security/staff ASAP. This latest story seems quite thin.

A bag is a personal belonging. I can see someone maybe grabbing it and finding its owner only to be surprised at what was in it. Not many duffels lying on floor have 20K in them
Even if you think it’s standard procedure to just give to security it’s still more likely imo than him somehow knowing there was 20K in it. And then heisting it

Again you are just showing that you yourself think Berkey is at some kind of unattainable level of poker skill for the average person. I literally do think that most intelligent people who focused on HU for any reasonable amount of time would beat Berkey. But spending 6 months for a chance to win 100k in a high variance game is a terrible proposition for anyone with a life outside of poker. Even though it would be isolated +EV which it certainly would be, the actual life EV for me to try to set

We can use common sense and make assumptions. He was a lawyer and I think he made his first big score in a 3K WPT event. Then quickly won some other stuff. So he’s absolutely the type of guy who would have a very big piece of himself.

As far as actually what he did with bag, I don’t think we know so we can’t really comment if it makes sense or not.

Obviously this is the crux of the issue and only those two know the truth, pending some release of findings either by admitting fault or if security is able to see on video him having money when he registered etc.

A more appropriate term would be "cashes".
You can of course claim ignorance thinking that the word "earnings" is thrown around a lot and readers either don't care or can simply replace it with the more appropriate term subconsciously.
