2025 World Series of Poker May 27th - July 16th
So apparently this puts Kabrhel in the lead for WSOP Player of the Year?
That would be wild.
Jon Pardy on the feature table main event 1A is such a kitn. We have to listen to his annoying laugh and constant look at me chatter.
The Martin Show has taken over the FT lol
The feature table has been 8 randoms and Kevin F-cking Martin, electric stuff
I only see the short clips of MK, from a poker perspective is he good and the antics are added power to tilt opponents or is the table talk and antics whats carrying him because he makes people make mistakes? I feel like all of the “character” type players eventually succumb to tells and fade away, like Humberto, Farha…..is he here to stay or will they study him and exploit his behavior?
This montage goes so hard. Literal chills.
GG Martin, what a legend. Over the last few years I've gone from finding him finding him annoying to the most entertaining player by a long shot.
I'm surprised he's not picked up a sponsorship yet, he gets loads of TV time and constantly makes final tables.
Just a note on the long run in tournaments with huge prize pools. Based on this year’s PPC, let’s set a rough template of 100+ entrants $1M+ for 1st, $100K+ for 12th.
Depending on how far you want to stretch all that, Daniel has about 25 $100K+ scores in those kind of tournaments over the past 21 years. Someone else can go through Rast’s HM page.
There is no long run or significant sample size. JIMHO .02 cheap seat, when you get deep in a big pool tournament there is zero chance that, say, in PLO somebody is thinking on the river with a non-paired board & three to a SF on it, “I have a Q high flush with a SF blocker so I will reraise him all in laying him 5-1 and he will fold an ace high flush often enough to make it EV+ over the next 2686 times we’re in this same situation.”
Not going broke is far more important than EV Equity or revealing possible exploits. Ivey cost himself who knows how many millions not tossing his misread flush in face up, but at least he didn’t reveal any exploits to Darvin Moon.
It’s also OK to win small pots early in hands too.
Does anyone know what day the Main goes exclusively to PokerGo and won't be free on YouTube?

Gimmicky sure, but doesn’t Martin play the super high rollers, and has like 15M in winnings and play high stakes online? Huberto, Gold, Kasoof, etc are jokes compared to Kabrhel

No, Martin is good and has been playing high stakes tournaments for almost 10 years at this point.
Martin is a crusher in everything. Its too bad we will never see him on streamed cash games ever again and have to (maybe) see him only on random tourny final tables.
So GRO means....
Really good final table for the $100K PLO high roller. Ike with the chip lead and Sean Deeb, Ivey, and Alex Foxen also in the final seven. I'm hoping somehow this gets streamed, as I'd find it much more interesting than watching a table full of randoms playing 1B of the Main.

Everyone has a plan til they get punched in the mouth. GTO players have a plan til they have a 19bb stack and their nuts start to shrivel up.
Martin doesn't know when to stop. His talking during an active, multiway hand that he's a part of is an angle and violates the rules. If you think that's a boomer take too bad, maybe real live tourney poker isn't for you, cause what he's doing is lowbrow home game antics. There may be an entertainment factor, which often crosses over into just irritating, but he's looking for reads and the constant comments and questions even of players not in the hand is designed to elicit reads in a way that is supposedly prohibited by the well established rules of the game that we've all agreed upon.
He severely pissed off several of his table mates at the Main last night and with good reason. He also got his wings clipped, started pouting and shut down for a bit. If he just did his comments between hands or threw out a few Not Like That and GROs every once in a while it would be funny, now it's just tiresome and he's clearly equal parts angle shooting and desperate for attention.
Stapes is real bad but I always laugh when someone asks him in chat what’s the starting stack and he answers “it’s the stack you begin the tournament with” but never ends up giving the amount.

Sounds like something amazing to watch. So glad PokerGo decided to air some other garbage.
This attitude will ultimately cause him a ton of missed opporunities.
It's so stupid to act like this when you are crushing.
He might find some sponsors (controverial ones, maybe as a sidekick to pokerbunny), but private cash games are probably a no go forever.
We have reached the awkward time of the summer when I must anti-sweat Nick Schulman in the Main Event so that he can be free to do night shift commentary with Ali.
