Fins make up a decent portion of the highstakes plo community, I've personnaly only had positive interactions with them through the years.

The main spotlight is on the GGPoker room and two well-known high-stakes regs: Elky and Fedor.
It all started when GGPoker decided to increase the rake and make high-stakes games private. In other words, if you want to play above 10/20, you need an invitation from a host.
Attempting to maximize profit while totally ignoring the regs. The room’s management refuses to believe that reg battles are possible with low rake. Well, it’s exactly the kind of move you’d expect from GGPoker.
The surprise, however, was that two respected, well-known high-stakes players would choose personal profit over siding with the poker community. That, at least, is how high-stakes player and coach PlasticElephant sees it.
What happened right after the introduction of VIP tables is illustrated well by this post:

GG has been scam for all non MTT/HS players for a very, veeery long time.
I mean EVERYONE with half brain literarily for YEARS now (incl. many HS guys themselves) were saying - DONT play

This was user Rahm93’s reply to a post by the well-known YouTuber ChicagoJoey, where Joey tried to explain why he supports GGPoker’s decision to make all high-stakes games invite-only.
Personally, I can add that the post by ChicagoJoey really was AI-generated, 100% sure, and to be honest, I didn’t completely get what he was talking about 😀)
However, I did understand his other post, where he explained in plain language that he has nothing to do with GG and does not support their policy of raising the PLO rake.

Agree Joey is a good guy and has done a lot for the poker community.
He built his podcast and deserves to monetise it.
I believe he has a genuinely more nuanced view on the GG situation.
I hope he changes his mind and finds another sponsor, but I respect the decision.
I'm not sponsored by GG - they've been offering it to me since they launched the site and I've turned them down. I haven't agreed with the way they handled PLO rake.

It's important to understand the comparison between stakes isn't apples to apples as midstakes is played mostly zoom and high stakes mostly 6h.
I haven't played in awhile so take this with a grain of salt.
At high stakes it's typically one weak player and 5 great players. That's a ratio of 1:5. The weak player is typically losing 10-15 bb/100 and the regs are usually making 2-3 bb/100 apiece, with the weaker regs much closer to breakeven than they'd like to think and the best regs winning 4-6bb/

If anyone thinks bots are only an online poker problem, you need to read this thread.
I don't care if this is legal, ethical, morally right etc... the optics of it are terrible for the game.
We can argue all we want, but it's too late... the damages are done. Do I think this is going to lower next year's main event numbers or something ? No probably not. But do I think some casual or random who stumbles upon these videosi n the future is going to be put off on playing poker ... yeah.
There's already a huge stigma around online poker that it's filled with bots, rta and collusion
