Edit/MH:
My friend and I made a bet based on this OP. I bet that he won’t make 100k and made another bet that he will end up down.
I think I win the first bet no matter what but is the other bet a push because he moved up on stakes?
I know, stupid to bet without clear rules. I’m willing to push it if someone doesn’t make a good argument on my side.

you bet on his results with no stipulations as to stakes played. if he wins overall you lose the bet he would end up down.
It's like betting on the Lakers under for total wins then saying "hey I didn't know they were gonna trade for Doncic".
If the bet is based on OP which clearly states $3/6 then that is the premise of the bet.
The other bet will be based on his results on $3/6 over the month. It's not your fault if he played for a few days, got destroyed and then decided to not play those games again. It also does depend on how good of a friend you bet with and want to push it.
In my opinion of course.
If you bet on the original premise then you win if you took I would fail, after several days of getting rekt at 3/6 it was not possible to win.
I'm altering the deal, pray I don't alter it any further!
Today we are playing 50/100.
Doug is using revolutionary upswing strategy called Dougingale strategy where he increases limits until he covers the loses and wins 100k!
next alteration he is allowed to deposit 200k to attain his goal of 100k
Doug, why are you cutting off the stream abruptly? We are not in a movie! You have to say goodbye ttyl!
If Doug has another losing session he going to crank up the variance and bust out the Paisting pre flop charts.

You placed a bet, not just one bet - but two, with your friend on this and didn’t set any stipulations?
I’m not even sure how to answer that. You should have shared this previously before getting this deep into the challenge.
But if you must rely on some arbitration I would be happy obliging

Doug effectively tapped out of the original challenge when he made the decision to play higher/add FR tables. Objectively you have already won both bets because the original challenge is over. It's a bet between two friends tho so if you are looking for middle ground i think its more fair to consider the bet about making the 100k as a push and let the other one run
Doug's podcast with Alan Keating is a must watch, Alan got some stories to tell.
I caught a bit of it live yesterday. To save me 3 hours, do they discuss how he has seemingly endless money to blow?
They vaguely alluded to investing in crypto and they briefly spoke about film investment.
i only watched the first two hours before going to bed but they did discuss him starting out playing (like the biggest nit) at 1/2 at Windsor in Canada in his younger twenties. that doesn't really answer your question, but it could mean he grinded it up from nothing. do yourself a favor and don't "save yourself 3 hours", but instead watch the entire episode. you won't regret it!
The challenge has been very entertaining so far.
The AQ hand from yesterday is mildly sus. Doug doing his best Garrett Adelstein "wtf just happened" impression after that hand.
this isn't nefarious in the least; my villains have made similar folds plenty of times. it's great for two reasons: firstly i win the pot uncontested no matter my holdings and secondly it usually means they're on tilt. you love to see it!
And he lost pots in which if he could see Doug's cards, he could have made the perfect decision.
i'm not sure i understand. examples?

Best part was about how he bought Hellmuth some investment opportunity for a company for $15k (massive discount to prevailing value at the time)
Hellmuth nitted up and didnt invest, shares are now worth $80m.
I think Alan's done well with a couple of investments, probably the source of his endless wealth.
This was part of how the UB scandal started. Some superuser playing hu 200/400 limit and open folds oop in a 3 or 4bp where the opponent had 74 on 744 or 774. I'm not saying there's cheating on WPT Gold but UB's memorable
The idea that one of the best HU specialists in the world can't beat full ring because he couldn't beat it before he became one of the best HU specialists in the world is laughable.
I really like doug but he’s also not beating ring games live in his whole stream games sample
that said obviously if he puts in the effort to play proper ranges and learn how to play narrow ranges spots he could obviously beat those ******s
