2026 World Series of Poker May 26th - July 15th
Yeah, who cares about the 1-chip trend. The other player can always just make you decide whether to put it in, as LuckyChewy did here. If there is any concern, it would be the opportunity it creates for collusion, but as Greg points out there's no reasonable way to stop people from deciding how much they want to bet.
The collusion comes when both players implicitly agree it's in their best interest to use as much time per street as possible so they don't go allin until the river. Implicit collusion is allowed but we need a shot clock based on how many bb you have left or something, that would solve the problem.
Well that’s good at least
But the no 100K PLO is correct

Hope you are right but this seems to indicate otherwise and in line with what I heard. Unless it’s on both YouTube and espn+

Interesting, could have sworn when they announced the free streams on YouTube at beginning of series they kept saying they were streaming everyday including the main. Guess we will see tomorrow
I'm worried it isn't on youtube. I don't see any more scheduled streams after tonight.

If we do need to pay, I hope someone that was critical of PokerGo will be a good sport and upload a video of their face as they click submit payment on espn+ lol
I thought someone said it's the 100k PLO tonight, but it's the final table of the 5k 6max with players Ive never heard of. That sucks, 100k PLO would be a million times better.

I’d give this YouTube coverage a 2/10. Last year it was probably an 8, and given that showed around 20 hours of PPC (much of it for free) that’s probably a conservative grade.

This makes a lot of sense. Stalling is a really big advantage to those who do it which is one of the many reasons I prefer cash games to tournaments. I think leaving 1bb behind is a pretty terrible strategy if you ever plan on folding. There comes a certain point where you're pot committed even with ICM considerations. If someone is tanking with 1bb a shot clock would be a good thing to prevent this strategy just to stall for time.

You don’t really need a shot clock if someone calls the clock. It’s clear in most spots it’s a stall and they have had enough time to act on their hand.
Back again to the poker coverage, nonstreaming of the 100K PLO is really a shame.
Spoiler
with Martirosian, Negreanu, Winter, Ausmus, and Sternheimer 1 through 5 in chips at the final table.

I remember last year's 100k plo was so boring *I* had to turn it off and go do something else. I don't blame them but people want to see the biggest names if they're at a final table. A 5k 6 max isn't it.
I'd rather they do a variable "what's the most interesting thing and we'll just show that" but they're doing a sort of thing, where it's rigid main and maybe a secondary thing if it's interesting. and yes I do realize production costs are a thing and out of schedule extra hours at a time most usa people are asleep isn't really good either.

Well, it's two things, they're rigid (maybe that can't be helped), but also their rigid choices suck. Why a random $5k NL when there's a $100k guaranteed to be stacked with pros? Why would you stream three days of the women's tournament instead of doing whatever is the best final table those first two days? Why would you do early coverage of the Milly Maker rather than early coverage of the PPC? The concurrents for those were very low as anyone could have predicted.
I saw one person somewhere speculate that they are streaming as much hold'em as possible because the sponsors are the solver companies and that's what they want. WSOP's choices are so inexplicable that I found the theory compelling, honestly.
They clearly needed multiple streams on a couple of the days like PokerGo used to do. Just have to show a little more deference to the brand and more players and show a few non nlhe events.
2.5 hour delay idiotic, PokerGo never needed it and their graphics included more info with chip stacks at top. Then if there’s a 2.5 hr delay don’t do a 1 hr delay when players go to dinner. PokerGO used to delay 1.5 hrs but had much shorter breaks.
Solver companies have been sponsors for many years so don’t think that impacted selection. Think Stapes was bigger factor who is a bit of a simpleton and doesn’t really mesh on mixed games.
Whoever at GG Poker or WSOP came up with the streaming schedule for this year should be fired and never work in the industry again.
The 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) is scheduled to run from May 26 to July 15, 2026, making it one of the biggest poker events of the year. Players from around the world are expected to compete in a wide range of bracelet events, satellites, and cash games.
If you're planning to participate or simply follow the action, joining an Online poker community is a great way to stay updated with event schedules, player discussions, strategy tips, and tournament highlights. It's also an excellent place to connect with fellow poker enthusiasts before and during the WSOP. Good luck to everyone planning to play!
Hanging around my buddies that work the series….
Word is that running multiple streams would essentially force gg to charge for the product due to sheer man power needed for that level of production.
So, if you want to pay, then you might get what you want in the future.

The option to pay to gain access to expanded coverage that would include, say, $10K championship events in non-NLHE specialties would be okay with me.
Chainsaw 8th of the final 18 in the $2.5K mixed triple draw lowball. So you say there's a chance...

I'm sure that's true, but totally irrelevant. It isn't rocket science, give priority to all of the high limit tournaments. The $50k PPC was a 5 day tournament and got just a couple of hours of coverage, while they were showing day after day of $1,500 tournaments with randos that nobody knows or cares about. This is just complete incompetence, there's no other way to describe it. If their idea was that the masses would rather watch randos because it's NLE then they are incompetent and should be fired.
And please stop saying, "well it's free" or "don't you wish you had PokerGo back". No and No. Before PokerGo started took over it was free and they also showed multiple days of multiple tourneys every day! Many didn't have any commentary, but who cares! At least we got to watch the best players play the biggest tournaments at the WSOP. Many of us were, and are, willing to pay for the privilege of watching this, but unfortunately the WSOP is too incompetent to get it done. It would cost virtually nothing to simply set up a webcam with a mic at the table and play it on delay, with only the table talk for commentary, like was done for years before PokerGo came along!
