I wanted to post something Survivor related but realized there's no general thread about Survivor. Each thread is about

Can she at least stop saving blackheads in a jar?

I’m not interested in Sage either.

Even with the 90 minute marathon episodes, I feel I barely know anyone other than the original blues, Sage and Savannah. Nate goes home with seemingly very little screentime. Rizzo is built up as this big player, but what has he actually done?

As soon as purple Sophie was floated as the boot, she was a lock to win the immunity.

It’s nut-crunching time and I’m not incredibly fond of anyone apart from Sophi.

All outcomes are still on the board. But Rizzo and Savannah seem dead. We need to get them out asap if we want anything interesting to happen with the remainder

BTW distinguishing the Sophie's as Soph and Sophie is terrible and I wont be the least bit surprised if there's a voting mixup at some point.

It was also lol in a PC way.

Remember the season when Jeff was talking about whether it was ok to call all the players "guys." ? Some super sensitive PC there.

But this season, with two Sophie's, he just arbitrarily decides that one of them will be "Soph", without even asking here if she was ok with it (at least he didn't ask on air).

This is kinda cool:

This is why l like her

I don't want to see 18 game bots playing a GTO under the radar game like Kyle did

Ding, ding, ding, ding.

Just got caught up - why the hell did they boot Nate? People are too afraid of idols. When Riz pulled the "I'm definitely playing it on someone" at tribal it was a sure sign it was staying in his pocket.

I’d be super interested in how this season would have played out if they hadn’t gone all FPS and just correctly booted Savannah

Hey..

Do people still not vote for the best player at the end because of petty reasons?

Or do the best players usually win the final vote these days?

By definition, the player with the most votes is the best player.

lame episode. First the tribe split for the challenge, then the ‘revenge’ advantage for Savannah that I guarantee was personalized just for her by the producers after she won immunity

Even here which was theoretically one of the most 'entertaining' ways that it could have played out it was still worse than just having a proper final 10 round.

'You're going to split into two groups whereby the one group which wins the challenge is safe from immunity and doesn't go to tribal, whereas the other group does'

That's a tribe swap Jeff. You have just unmerged after merging 1 week ago

She's also rising among my least favorite players. She comes back to the post challenge beach scramble "for revenge" and basically licking her chops at how upset they're all going to be to see her and how she's going to disrupt everything. She hasn't received a single vote yet so she has nothing to "take revenge" for. They didn't care one bit that she was there, didn't alter their plans in any way, and she didn't vote (and if she had it would have meant nothing anyways).

She's got one of the all time "I'm the main character" personalities I've ever seen. When she started the one confessional, I was just waiting to hear how she'd been bullied as a child, or whatever trauma had led this one day of being left out of the main alliance to be causing her to have a breakdown.

I’d give back half my salary if all of my co-workers promised to never talk to me

I enjoyed the episode but all of the action happened via whisper at tribal. We know these people are mic’d. Figure it out

Jawan has become a big character but is pretty enigmatic. He talks in an interesting way which reads as charismatic but I dont think he’s ever said an interesting thing. This is probably prototypical for a Survivor winner.
There was a point in the episode where I thought he had scooped up MC and had a solid f3 with two goats. he fumbled that. I think he has a chance still but this vote seemed weirdly pivotal

Can someone explain what happened at the end of tribal council? MC got up and started talking to people. They all voted for her. She waved goodbye.

What happened to voting Sophie? What happened to voting Rizo?

No one can explain that part of it. Except that everything at tribal is pure theatre as it usually is

But Rizo’s last plan before tribal was to evict MC and scoop up Sophie because no one likes her. And we are to believe that was the plan that prevailed

if you're gonna go down that path, you may as well say the challenge was also specifically for her. that was a challenge build for the smallest, lightest person.

given that savannah wasn't part of this live tribal and just chilling sitting by herself she shoulda gone and sat next to jeff and watched

I would love to see someone trash talk someone who didn’t play an idol while the vote is happening.

It seems kind of odd/interesting that in the 2 episodes Sage has gone from a target and polarizing person to actually never being talked about by anyone (at least in what we are seeing).

At some point is Rizo's own alliance going to have to give him an exaggerated scare to flush his idol but keep his trust???

At this point for his alliance it is cool he has an idol - at some point it won't be. Just knowing "where it is" won't feel good if he is the #1 threat to win the whole thing.

PS. I do like his mindset that if he does not win he doesn't care where he places..... it has enabled him to play more aggressively with the idol.

Really want see if Soph takes his idol with her KiP or if Kristina's idol becomes public knowledge and she's able to steal that.

Surely you mean Savannah not Sage there?

I think the key word in your sentence of 'if he is the #1 thread to win the whole thing' is if.

Earlier this year we sat through a whole season where the general fan sentiment was that the cast were huge idiots for not taking out Joe & Eva who was holding the public idol and that either of them would be an auto win if they sat in the final 3.

In actuality they were two goats the cast were fighting over sitting next to the end with them.

So much of the 'Rizzo is a brilliant player and huge threat' narrative is coming from Rizzo's own confessionals

Just caught up on the last two episodes. What the hell is wrong with people when the think "we need to get Rizzo out, but not today"?
