Survivor: GENERAL THREAD
I wanted to post something Survivor related but realized there's no general thread about Survivor. Each thread is about
Wonder if there was talk about saving Jason instead of Matt for puzzle reasons. If they assume puzzles at challenges, should want Jason
This is the first Survivor season that I havenβt been able to watch. I do have the episodes DVRβed. Be honest, is this season worth it to catch up or should I just skip it and wait for 50.
"I collect blackheads and put them in a jar."
Hell yea, more of this please.
I'll be pleasantly surprised if the season isn't just the core red 4 people and Sophi running over everyone else at this point. The editing is very, very obvious so far.

Good chance Shannon will be booted this week in all fairness.
But they can just replace her with Jaiwan who is looking like a Ben/Jake/Owen style 0 vote finalist at the minute
I'm in support of this. Tired of her meditation and breathing exercises.
If I was in that tribe and everyone was closed eyes doing that, I'd hope to be open eyes and see someone else also rolling their eyes, and have an instant bond with them.
Who is the poster here that tracks number of confessionals? That reporter girl must have double whoever has the 2nd most

Donβt bother, itβs nothing we havenβt seen in previous seasons. The only interesting tribe got decimated from constantly losing and now itβs the other 2 boring tribes full of meh personalities going against each other. And the same 15 minute tribal councils with Jeff asking stupid questions to prolong a predictable boot

Definitely feels like the weakest cast of the new era.
The only people who have really provided any entertainment so far has been Savannah, Riso, Sophi, Shannon, Sage & Jake
The other 12 have provided very little.
Sage is trying so hard to be Carolyn 2.0 and it's so annoying.
Sage - handshake
Shannon 'I love you too..... I love you, see you soon'
Sage '.....take care'
Best post vote out exchange since Angelina and Natalie's jacket
I liked the three tribe split here. But it looks like they are going to merge next. Why?
Why not?
11 players is usually start of the jury phase (8 jurors + 3 finalists). Without merging, you can have jurors who’ve never talked to any of the finalists, which isn’t bad per se (and has been done previously - Coach & Courtney were jurors in HvV before that season’s merge) but not the greatest optics.
It’s also very hot in Fiji, and having blue team (team of 3) possibly lose again was likely considered even worse optics.
Kinda cool that Jeff was open about “we considered merging at 12” to the players - don’t recall he’s ever been as pulling-back-the-curtain to viewers like that.
I can't put my finger on why, but this was the best episode of the season

I think having the original tribes split multiple times and longer creates better dynamics for the merge. I would have merged at nine. Jurors see tribal councils and talk to each other, so I don't think it's that big a deal that they haven't been in a tribe with every person that merges. Is the person that gets voted out next really in that much of a better position to choose?
Shannon looked great. She dressed nice for eviction night
Sage is deluxe
lol at Jeff living in luxury and having an "even I am feeling faint" moment....
I'll be fine.... just heading back to the AC...... see ya all at tribal
Going to have to enjoy Sage while we have her on our screens as would put her as most likely to be the merge boot this week
The Sage love in this thread kind of baffles me. She's constantly making decisions guided by nothing more than who annoyed her most that day. The moves she's making aren't part of any plan to put her in good position at the end - all she's doing is getting some very bloody hands and the chance to make some snarky remarks.
I also personally don't care for people who somehow find absolutely everyone around them to be "fake" while somehow maintaining an inner facade that they are a shining beacon of integrity and honesty.
last night was the best episode of the season for me because my dream woman Sophie finally got some air time

I would not call it love but I find her entertaining and a plus for the season. I think she does not like being seen as someone who can be manipulated and not taken seriously. But, rather than be patient and play the long game to prove people wrong, she is exercising poor judgement by starting her agenda too soon. Her flaw is that she wants/needs validation now. That said, she did concede to going for Nate, which was in fact the safest play.

I don't get the same take. I think she sees herself as flawed but not fake. I think she has been open about some of her shortcomings/challenges. I find her self-deprecating.

.
This is why l like her
I don't want to see 18 game bots playing a GTO under the radar game like Kyle did
