General TV Discussion and Thread for Shows Without A Thread Thread
OOTV doesnt like family comedies much huh? Raising Hope and The Middle are two of the best(possibly the best outside of NBC)comedies on tv yet no threads.
Just an observation.
Couple of episodes in to Renegade Nell on Disney+, starring Louisa Harland (weird cousin in Derry Girls) and Nick Mohammed (Nathan in Ted Lasso).
About a 18th century highwaywoman framed for murder, with some fantasy/supernatural elements thrown in.
I'm enjoying it - a bit more lighter and more fun than the other historical dramas I've seen recently!
The Parish on AMC is excellent so far
Netflix kept recommending FUBAR to me. Thought it might be at least mildly entertaining with a stupid story but the majority of jokes are beyond stupid, too. Made it to episode 7 but feel like I've spent more time sending emails from my phone and looking at the Zwift screen than actually watching the show.
Watch the movie
I started The 100 few days ago.
Just 5 episodes in and its so bad, but also pretty good sometimes? Weird show lol. I heard it goes off the rails completely, so im intrigued.
Also Shameless season 11. This, amazing show during S1-S6, became so bad i get depressed just thinking about watching the remaining episodes. I'd argue its even worse than Dexter's last seasons. Classic Showtime.

it was really astonishing how bad shameless got.
and I would characterize it's downfall as way worse than dexter only because dexter was never anywhere close to as good as shameless was at it's peak.
s1 of dexter was lots of fun but the show never approached the elite tier IMO.
Anyone bother with The Sympathizer? I started the first episode when it premiered but it involved more attention than I was willing to give it at the time. It’s Robert Downey Jr, so I’m absolutely going to watch it at some point but am curious if it’s actually any good.
After rewatching last year I think they just ran out of ideas after wrapping up most storylines in season 7. That one was actually quite decent and would have served as a good ending to the show.
I had to look up what even happened in season 8 to confirm that was the first truly bad season. First big mistake was not to end after season 7, second big mistake was how they used Fiona in her last season and the final big mistake was to continue without Fiona. That's the one thing I only figured out after watching it all together instead of season by season: Shameless is the story of Fiona and her dysfunctional family. Not Frank's.
Has anyone started watching "A Gentleman in Moscow"?

the 100 is a wild ride!!!
I think there is a dedicated thread for it
its a crazy mix of absurd and fantastic. if you already made it 5 episodes and are kind of into it, you'll probably love it.
I forget exactly when the fantastic comes in, might not be til season 2 or 3 even.

ah, for me it was end of season 2 that really got me. season finale rated 9.2... and that's underrated imo
that episode was probably in the top 50 episodes of TV all time
Interesting I completely bailed on it during the second to last or last season because it got just so ridiculous, but the 100 is very watchable.
Yes, there is a 100 thread. Enjoyable watch. At times it was legitimately great, but also sometimes eyeball rollingly bad. For the most part it was quite good and very easy to digest/marathon. I'd see it through if I were you.
Through 7 episodes of Fallout. Liked the first episode, but was on the fence by ep 3. Thought it picked up and got progressively better since. The more the lines blur between who is good or bad, the better the show has been.

yeah i had same reaction and gave up on it
but as others mentioned, there's a 100 thread here and it does seem to have it's share of fans

I don’t even remember when I checked out. I think it was before Fiona left but your point at the end there? Thats exactly it!
As for the bolded, it’s a nice watch so far. It’s sort of like a fantasy but without fantasy elements, if that makes sense. I think it’s a limited series but that might be “limited unless renewed” type.
I dont think anything has happened yet that is a huge twist, and unfortunately my feared scenario is still live.
Haha i had but i fell asleep on it and missed the last couple of minutes. Mother ****er i knew it.
Fallout. Yeah it was alright. Thought the middle few episodes were the strongest. Nothing that great though.
Shout out to g-bebe for doing what we all should be doing, putting the name of the show in every post. Drives me batshit having to backtrack multiple posts/quotes to figure out what show's being talked about. I know, I know, take it to the Pisses Me Off but Shouldn't thread.
Lmao the Sugar (AppleTV) twist.
My wife rolled her eyes more than a few times, she doesnt wanna watch anymore lol.
Im still in though, Its gonna depend on the last 2 episodes (this season?) if this show is terrible or really good.
