[CoinPoker] - Ex-Official - Bringing the Game Back to Players
Hello Everyone,
This is the Official Thread of CoinPoker (previous thread)
CoinPoker: The Decentralized Poker Room Built for Players, by Players
Developed by an ambitious team of poker lovers, CoinPoker is a revolutionary platform that uses blockchain technology to address key issues in the poker industry. Despite being far from our vision for CoinPoker as the biggest poker room in the world, our team is proud to be the first project of its kind to deliver on the promises made during its ICO period.
Lengthy payment processing, limited transparency on fair play, as well as a blase attitude towards community feedback are just some of the prevalent problems in today’s online poker world. Since CoinPoker launched at the end of 2017, it has attracted a growing community of players and investors who share the same goal of bringing the game back to players.
Using Decentralized Technology to Ensure Fair Play
One of the key benefits of the blockchain movement is that it empowers users by adding transparency and convenience to traditional services. Poker rooms in particularly reserve the rights to hold player funds and release them at their own discretion, and as a result of complex payment systems simple transfers can be delayed by as much as weeks.
The Benefits of Cryptocurrency Powered Bets
All deposits, withdrawals, and bets on CoinPoker are powered by the cryptocurrency token CHP (Chips). The use of CHP speeds up payments, and gives players the ability to track payments to and from their account on the public Ethereum network.
CHP token holders are able to quickly move funds to and from their CoinPoker account, and for passionate advocates of the project it is a means to invest in the platform as it continues to grow and expand. It is also possible to exchange ETH tokens to CHP inside the CoinPoker app, making it as easy to acquire as one of the most popular assets on the crypto market.
Available on a growing list of exchanges including KuCoin and HitBTC, CHP tokens are in the process of being adopted by other gaming businesses in the near future.
Player Impact Shown on a Decentralized Random Number Generator (RNG)
Fast payment processing is not the only way CoinPoker wields decentralized technology for the benefit of the player. Random number generators (RNGs) used to shuffle decks in a variety of card games (poker included) have often been scrutinized by players as mysterious and, as a result, they are often approached with suspicion.
Trust is essential between a player and poker room for the experience to be optimal, which is why CoinPoker will be introducing a fully decentralized RNG this year. The feature will be the first of its kind in the poker industry, and will give players the possibility to view their impact on dealt hands in a visual dashboard alongside hand history.
Internationally Accessible on Desktop and Mobile
Players from all over the world are able to access our desktop client, and our launch of an Android app has already resulted in thousands of players hitting the tables while on the go. Coming soon is the release of the CoinPoker app for iOS, which we expect to release this summer.
CoinPoker’s Community-Centric Business Model
Central to our operations is carefully monitoring feedback from our players. The success of our ICO is owed to a diverse group of small and large investors, many of whom are now active players, and we feel a strong obligation to make sure their needs and wants are met.
This is why we have invested heavily in hosting epically proportioned promos from the get-go, in line with the promises made during the ICO period.
Millions of CHP Awarded in Large Scale Tournaments and Promotions
Since launching, CoinPoker players were given the opportunity to win a Tesla, collect over 400ETH in various tournament series like ETH Madness, participate in a 10,000,000 CHP Added Crypto Series of Poker (CSOP), and win millions of CHP in daily freerolls
and freebuys.
Introducing Rake after Operating Rake-Free Since the 2017 Launch
After boasting zero rake on games for over half a year, CoinPoker will be introducing rake as a means to facilitate future growth. The revenue will be allocated towards future promotions, development costs, and the funding of new and ongoing partnerships with leading poker associations to establish our brand and give players exciting opportunities to play across the globe.

Can I deposit/withdraw using my hardware wallet (like Ledger)?
Honestly if you play full time it doesnt matter.
You get RB via CHP every monday and use that to pay rake.
Personally for me, the CHP usually runs out in 3-4 days and i will buy more.
I know roughly how much i pay in rake daily, so i keep a minimum on the account.
Its like an endless cycle, end of day its not important if its chp system or pay with usdt, end result is the same.
It only becomes problem if you get more than you can spend to rake, i believe for most players thats not the case.
However i
Yeah, I've heard complaints about this, but I really don't see the problem. Just buy the minimum amount of CHP you need to cover the rake for your session and you don't have to worry about it. The site charges a percentage for buying it, not a flat fee, so there's no incentive to make a single large purchase of CHP.
Any decentralized wallet that you've linked as your personal wallet address.
Deposit a small test amount for peace of mind if it's your first time using it.
Even if something goes wrong we manually credit funds when sent a screenshot and the TXID.
One mistake people make is depositing from somewhere that they didn't link as their personal wallet address - you'll see that under 'Deposit' in the third box
Being decentralized, then the transaction will come from it and be recognized and credited instantly - a mistake some players make is depositing from a centralized exchange like Kraken, then it doesn't actually come from what Kraken says your wallet address is, as on a centralized exchange you don't actually own the crypto really, they pool it all together. Then we need the screenshot and TXID to check it really was sent by a certain user
Can I use VPN on Coinpoker?
I want to use H2N on iPoker; can I run it while playing on Coin? I know Coin doesn't allow tracking, but if I turn it off (or don't turn it on, not sure how it works) for Coin Poker, is it okay to have the software running?

We allow it for offline hand analysis, i.e. turned off while you're live playing at the table, yes.
Am I able to watch the high stakes cash games "Cash Game World Championships" going on right now just in the lobby? I don't see any active tables in my client at those stakes. Just to watch the games>
Hi... The deposit bonus worth 50% rakeback or I am wrong? Plus the 33% RB of the room is a total of 88%? Sure is wrong lol
I believe thats correct. you get 50% rakeback via usdt from the bonus, and 33% via holding CHP
Thanks. And the best and cheap way to buy CHP is from Quickswap with USDT (Ethereum Network) for example or the fees are too high compared to Polygon? Then I have to transfer manual my chp to Coinpoker?

I just bought CHP on the site itself. It's a .95% fee. Unless you're dealing with insane amounts, I don't think it's worth the hassle of buying them a different way just to save a fraction of a percentage point on fees.

You need to deselect all the seats - the CGWC is 6 handed but the filters are 2 4 and 7
Still do not understand why we need CHP for rakeback it’s nonsensical and very annoying. It would make sense if we were playing in CHP. But we aren’t. What is the reason for not paying it in USDT? When is this being changed.
Yup, just checked and you're right. I swear it used to be .95%. This is a sucky change and I guess I'll have to navigate buying CHP on some exchange now.
Okay, is there a simple guide somewhere explaining how to do this? The CoinPoker website says you can buy CHP on various exchanges, but every one that they list is either not available in the U.S. or shut down. Apparently you have to buy it through some sort of decentralized exchange or something? Holy **** I just want to play poker, not spend hours learning the minutiae of crypto-trading. I like the site but using CHP for rakeback seems like a major hindrance that's just holding them back.

At the moment buying CHP through the client is the only option. We're in the process of changing CHP to a new token asap.
On Quickswap - that's the decentralized exchange old posts refer to - liquidity has been removed so it's no longer possible to buy on there. An email went out about this, I'll repost below. The guides on the website will be updated soon.
What happened to the $1k and $2k PLO tournaments today? I have looked forward to those every Sunday.
i second fee reductions until the new token and pool is launched
side note, i like paying rake at the end from a separate balance. you actually get to see how much rake you are paying. no guessing or nothing. it's right there in front of you
I saw somewhere in this forum that there was a change of ownership of coinpoker. Is that true, did someone purchased the coinpoker platform?
Could you guys add the ability to filter by specific stake, rather than a range?
For example if I want to play NL200 I have to scroll all the way to the bottom of all the .25 .50 .50 1 tables.
Not a huge deal, but would be nice long term.
Also if you're playing HS nobody playing 50/100 wants to see 2/5 tables in their lobby.
Thanks for considering --
CoinPoker tries to automatically close every ~10 seconds while playing in a tournament and I have to manually click no in popup to not let it close. Restarting doesn't help. What can be done?
