[WSOP.com Nevada] Unofficial thread
Since WSOP locked their thread, why can't we have our own?

i think this is the first definitive date on new wsop software
According to Pokerfuse: https://pokerfuse.com/news/industry/2209...
"none of this will affect WSOP or the three-state online poker network that it appears to be building across Michigan, Nevada, and New Jersey."

for those wonder hwat he means
I believe the 888product leaving the market is what he is referring to since wsop NV/NJ uses old 88 software but it unclear if they mean that too or just the ones associated with the NJ 888 site which i didn't know existed. I can not imagine they would be crazy enough to try to switch mid series.
Them leaving NJ has been known for a couple of weeks now and there has been zero mention from all the poker news outlets that are eager to report on the NV/NJ software upgrade, merge with MI of that having anything to do with it.
That's a bit surprising, as we had thought the shutdown date would be June 3, so this is a couple of weeks later. Trying to get a clarification on that.
This shouldn't have any baring on the WSOP software upgrade/Michigan merger. We expect that to happen without 888 NJ, leaving them alone on the old software connected to a (now dormant, NJ-only and 888-only) network for its remaining few days.
The impact to the network will be negligible. 888 NJ generated less than $15k in revenue last month, compared to $622k on WSOP -- so its NJ network contribution was less than 2.5%. Its contribution to NJ online poker was around half a percent.
The 888 exit is because the parent company has divested all its interests in its consumer stuff in the US. It sold off all its remaining US interests to Hard Rock Digital last month (there was very little remaining; it was all in on Sports Illustrated, and that partnership has dissolved. All that really remains is a licenses in a few states, and 888poker/casino in NJ).
"Online Bracelet Events to Pay Out 15% Field
On the WSOP 2024 payout calculator page, the operator confirms that online events will pay out approximately 15% of the field size, indicating that the online bracelet series will indeed return.
With only a week remaining until WSOP 2024 begins, officials have yet to announce the online bracelet schedule. The lack of any updates has led to speculations about whether online bracelets will run this year.
The delay in announcing the online schedule is related to the impending merger of the WSOP Michigan player pool with those of WSOP New Jersey and WSOP Nevada. WSOP is likely waiting for approval from the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) before announcing the tri-state shared liquidity network.
Progress is being made, with WSOP conducting private tests of its new network on updated software, as we reported with screenshots last week. While the exact cause of the delay is unknown, we expect the software upgrade in New Jersey and Nevada and the subsequent merger to occur by the end of this month."
Expect WSOP officials to announce these developments any day now.
ok
Any chance we get access to hand histories on the new software? Even anonymized ones?
According to some of the grinders in the PA discord the new software update is ass.
Just give us GG already like you did with Ontario
no source on the announcement they claim is coming. Honestly I think pokerfuse is getting most of it's info from this thread. I have seen nothing presented in their articles that didn't come from the thread aside from a few speculative dates that have all been wrong so far. Until we hear form wsop I'm not buying anything they say
Well we don't have to wait long to see if any WSOP announcement comes, its supposedly tomorrow.
I will say if I'm in Vegas on the 28th and still crickets from WSOP, that would be ****ing wild, something has to be coming soon. Right?

I got bashed by everyone because I said Pokerfuse was in the business of speculation. They have been reporting BetMGM will launch for years. BetMGM went in front of the gaming board this year and said they’re a year away. I think they mean well, but there pure speculation is my personal opinion. I’m sure they were tipped off by a good source on this. Hopefully we hear some good news tomorrow. How didn’t they know PA was going to update the software when they’re running a PA campaign to have them join the interstate network?

I wasn't bashing you, the dude that got accused of sitting out (no opinion there) was the one telling you to sit out on this. I was purely stating I don't blame pokerfuse for anything here, I think that is harsh, even if you are correct in pointing out they are mostly just speculating. I'm laying all the blame on WSOP for doing no bonus and also not saying anything officially just having their customer service reps give uncertian info

I wasn’t saying you Alex lol. Anyways I spoke with a friend who works for Caesar somewhat in a higher role. He said they are definitely looking to make this happen. The stock has been struggling, the series is a big time money maker for them. They want to milk every stream of revenue possible. I looked, stock is down in 6 months close to 30%. So there is definitely incentive from that view point.
"WSOP PA players will notice redesigned table layouts with larger tables, new table felts, smoother graphics, a revamped betting interface, improved note-taking features, new throwables, and emoji reactions, among other enhancements"
I have seen on twitter also people complaining about the even new software in PA, but at least they are attempting to upgrade things, like note taking issues, etc.
So, if we get the older poker 8 software, then they can test new versions on PA before updating NV, NJ, MI. that sound good.

I would think at this point, any version will do for NV/NJ & MI. The traffic is slow on NV/NJ and usually by now you see a noticeable jump. Cash games struggling to keep going longer then 45 mins on the Omaha side

Is that what Kevin Mathers reported?
No just something they added today that does state there will be a transition to a new online we have to register for. First official word from wsop
