[WSOP.com Nevada] Unofficial thread
Since WSOP locked their thread, why can't we have our own?
For anyone still on the fence if the software has improved, it hasn’t. Had 11 shutdowns in 2.5 hrs only 6 tabling.
One of the more frustrating things is I’ve table started for years but it’s impossible currently with the constant restarts which seem to increase with more clicks (so no hu or 3h). Say you have 2 hrs to run a session, you have to jump on waitlists and all said and done ur getting like .75 table hours. Not a very favorable situation for both recs or pros.
Agreed. These software issues/crashes are costing WSOP money as well. You have less games going, less hands being played, and frustrated players simply quitting mid-session or not playing at all until these issues are resolved. They’re taking way too long to address it. At least give us an update, timeline of when you expect it to be fixed. I understand they have to “rebuild” the software to an extent. But they do a really bad job keeping the players informed.
I would have one person solely communicating these updates from the tech team to the players. We haven’t heard anything. Do they want to retain and keep players or no? Or do they want us all to flock to BetMGM next year when they open up and expand/link to these 3 states? They better be very careful here.
Anyone know how to get hand histories in a text or file form? Trying to upload to GTO Wizard
This wsop client is for sure the worst software i've ever played on in the past 20 years.
Has the "Poker 8" software always had these crash/freeze issues? It's been around for a bit. Or are these issues restricted to the WSOP/US Poker 8? I know players like Easty play on 888, software seems to look just like WSOP without the WSOP logos. So I assume 888 uses the same Poker 8 software? Can they open up more than 6 tables without crashes?

The previous client was on the 888 software and never crashed. There were definitely complaints about it but I never found it a problem. The only bug I recall from the previous client was a waiting list bug.
I'm not familiar with the "Poker 8" software on but its horrible. Note colors glitching/changing randomly, replayer constantly not working, crashing every day, horrible hand history organization and UI...
Starting from even the old days of UB, paradise poker, party poker etc, I have never experienced a software so riddled with bugs or poor coding.
I did do one more thing about this last night which was to speak with Nevada Gaming Commission's Cybergaming Department. The agent told me the level of complaints about wsop.com support got so bad that they now have an agent exclusively handling wsop.com cases. I asked him if this stuff was regulated, and he said it sort of was. I also asked if they were allowed to just freeze the account and $25k+ while refusing to give any information on it for 24+ hours, he said he doesn't have the rulebook i
I talked to support a bit ago and they finally had more information. No supervisor phone call as promised by today afternoon. Apparently, the team that's reviewing my account is Responsible Gaming and they seem to think I may have pressed a self-exclude button on the old software that wasn't updated on the new one. The support guy said they were going to reach out to me shortly. I asked him why would I exclude myself from winning especially when I'm clearly practicing good bankroll management too, he said he's not sure but it's probably the software glitching and recording weird signals.
So I guess I'm now on the software glitch camp as well. FWIW my software has also crashed about 10x since starting back up a few weeks ago. Let's see what they say tomorrow...

i actually got locked out of my stars account for responsible gaming after what i said to chat support, Originally it was because i typed in password wrong too many times. Then when i talked to support i said "i was brain dead after being at the casino for 12 hours" and they quoted this in an email. I had to answer 3 gambling related degen sounding questions. I missed the 20k freeroll stars ran besides the Sunday tournies,
so yea seems the sites are on some responsible gaming kick - especially if you are a winning player they hate you more than the breakeven or losing players
just amazing because if you goto the casinos the waitresses have the slowest legs ever since they want you to sit there and lose more at slots.... now they all of a sudden care about responsible gaming lol i call that bluff
i uploaded my stars HHs but a few weeks later i regretted it after realizing
#1 - a lot of "errors" or misplayed hands -- which is silly because NJ player pool u can over adjust since its same 100 or so players so its silly to listen to the breakeven bot plays
#2 - i wouldnt be surprised if they either sold our data and or someone who works there looked at the uploads, took all of our hands and did some MDA to exploit us
just take Fedor or Nanonoko for example.... two crushers who decided to take 9-5 security jobs for example... do you think they care about game security that much and take a huge income cut, or do you think theyre doing it to see what the top winners are doing - cheating or not and then feeding that to their horses they probably stake on the same sites lol

Exactly it’s crazy I was like man with Michigan I’ll finally be able to run multiple sessions and get 4-5k hands per day. Now I’m starting to look into other options for sites to play on. That’s super encouraging about betmgm..didn’t know they were gonna launch in NV! I always play all the online wsop events and didn’t even bother playing a single tourney. They’re definitely losing revenue but that’s what concerns me even more bc communication and quickness to fix will only suffer more if revs decline. What a $hitshow.
Anyone else have issues connecting to the games?
Caesars Digital will also receive a license from NSUS to continue operating its recently upgraded WSOP Online real-money poker business in Nevada, New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania for the foreseeable future but will otherwise be restricted from operating online peer-to-peer real-money poker operations for a specified period of time and subject to certain exceptions.
“We’ve enjoyed a longstanding and successful partnership with GGPoker that has helped spur the growth of the WSOP brand,” said Eric Hession, President of Caesars Digital. “This transaction is an exciting step for Caesars as a company and the WSOP brand as it continues to evolve. We can’t wait to see what NSUS has in store for growing the WSOP’s legacy in poker, and we look forward to continuing to deliver an unmatched and familiar experience to poker players going forward.”
“After collaborating with Caesars Entertainment for years, NSUS Group, the operators of GGPoker, is thrilled to announce their new role in leading the World Series of Poker, the world’s most renowned poker brand,” said Michael Kim, Chief Executive Officer of NSUS Group Inc. “We will leverage GGPoker’s cutting-edge technology and industry expertise to create an exciting future for WSOP, ensuring players have an increasingly improved, safe, and seamless poker experience. Under the new leadership, NSUS intends to expand WSOP worldwide, positioning it at the forefront of poker’s growth.”
So that means they continue to operate the tri states but can't expand further for x amount of time?
That's my interpretation. But it sounds like it's potentially a step on the path toward a regulated US market.
I wonder if it means fixing software glitches could happen sooner than later.
Maybe Hood can chime in again?
has anyone tried the promo code SUMMER24 for $400 reload bonus? it was on the banner at one point but now i see ring advertisement
also was anyone online around 7am today? i got booted from 2 tables tried to login via mobile and said table didnt exist. I had money invested on both tables, one hand had pair + royal flush draw lol. Had my buyins missing for about 15 minutes then those tables disappeared and seemed a lot of guys i was sitting with were logged off too

Saw the same promo for SUMMER24 early this morning. Haven’t tried it yet. I assume it works.

Good breakdown of what it all could mean.
Anyone had problems linking Caesar's Rewards card? I've tried several times now and nothing happens. Talked to support also
Worked for me, 60 days to complete.

cool thanks for letting me know, i wasnt sure since its only listed on the PA promo site. I still need to clear my older one first
If they keep doing these i think the rakeback overall is better than before. I was trying to figure out what the best value is for your points. MTT tickets & cash both get raked again. I guess technically the cash game one you pay more rake on, but are more guaranteed to see a return there.
I talked to the Nevada Gaming Commission again on Wednesday night. Apparently, wsop.com sent the agent an email earlier in the day stating there was an investigation into my account for possible cheating but that my account was cleared as of around 1 PM Pacific Time. This is a contradiction to what they told me because they said Responsible Gaming team was investigating something they couldn't tell me about. If it was for possible cheating, I can kinda guess who reported me, the hero call wasn't really that remarkable even though I knew a priori solvers also choose A5ss as the first bluff catcher in that spot.
They also stated my account will be restored within 48 hours. Now the issue is I've received no email from wsop.com on any of this and I still don't have access to my account or the funds after 9 days. Does anyone know the law on withholding money in the $20,000-$30,000 range without any communication?

Good news, looks like your getting your money back. I'de recommend just taking this off your mind for a bit till the 48 hrs passes and you have your money. The work is done your $ is safe.

It's been about 70 hours since they told me. I made the post well after 48 hours passed. Did you guys hear the real good news which is that GGPoker bought wsop.com for 500 million? I think Phua ripped himself off but what would I know since I'm not even good enough to tie his shoes. In any case, rake will probably go up but I believe in Phua's business models.

Oh, my apologies I misinterpreted that.
I saw the news on Caesars selling the WSOP brand. It looks like caesars will still be running wsop.com from the press release though? Honestly I'm a bit concerned about GG's influence expanding to the USA since their rake is a blight on online poker.
Edit: For example GG poker's rake at 500NL is 5.58 bb/100 and 888 is 3.65 bb/100 according to this:
. Then WSOP has amazing rakeback system which is easy to understand and provides more benefit as you grind more. GG Pokers rakeback is some obfuscated formula that gives more to the whales. If you consider the rakeback costs at least .5bb/100 and the rake is an extra 2bb/100, then its a net 2.5bb/100 difference on current WSOP vs GG. If I play 800,000 hands in a year thats a difference of $50k/yr to me.
