been putting in 30k-75k hands a month since 2010 and worrying about RNG's is nothing more than a bias in variance. I've played virtually every site. put in enough volume almost everywhere and every site is basically the same. the level of competition has much more of an effect on win rate than the RNG.

Assuming you're reporting and following the law, what's the process if anyone knows on this site?

I'm assuming the majority of people are reporting for 2025 and plan to report in 2026 under the 90% cap law?

If not, no need to comment.

since they don't report your transactions to anyone you solely track every deposit and withdrawal. offset withdrawals w/90% of deposits and that's your gross tax obligation which you report as income? I am not a tax pro and am offering no tax advice, just an opinion and interpretation of the law/question.

was there a link there?

This was the same analysis that I came up with.

I think it would be a good idea if we can get the answer confirmed since a lot of people would be owing taxes here next year.

"Global Poker is a great option for U.S. players! They offer play money and sweepstakes-style games, which makes it legal in most states, including Washington. Perfect for mixing in some poker action safely."

1) no
2) cool?
3) as my father would say... wish in one hand, **** in the other, which gets filled first?

Saw yesterday that Cali passed the bill. Is this RIP?

Old news that passed last week. Probably end of year or December

Update: five times now. I play 100-200 hands per day, so I guess my volume over the last week is 1400 hands at the most. Seeing quads vs my boats this often is raising my eyebrows. If this were a home game I would definitely not come back. I wonder what the victims of recent super users at GG thought when they couldn't explain the hands they were seeing.

I'm not sure how to interpret your statement that the RNG has less effect on win rate. The RNG should have zero effect on win rate. You probably just didn't state your meaning clearly.

So, Global Poker still "owes" me about 5500 for envelopes. I live in NJ and so the site is down now... I tried logging in from Pennsylvania today to see if there was a SC balance and Sweeps Coins are not even an option even from Pennsylvania. Does anyone know anything about this?

wow , thats crazy - but im not surprised tbh - im in Canada been playing gobal off n on not that long - but i sent in enevelops while back ( not as much as u ) but still some
2 weeks later found out here in Canada can no longer play global end of sept , and now ive been asking them last couple months , what abouy my SC , n the money i spent sending them in ?

well yes and know. there's no such thing as a "true" online RNG, BUT, they're close enough.

AI overview of simply googling are online RNG's truly random...

"No, online random number generators (RNGs) are not truly random; they are pseudo-random number generators (PRNGs) that use deterministic algorithms to create sequences of numbers that appear random."

so we can't definitively say there's zero effect. if it's not truly random there has to be some effect, right?

with that said, I can assure you with very high confidence that you're not special and/or cursed. nobody is conspiring against you. if you're running bad you're running bad. it will eventually turn and will be someone else's turn in the barrel.

anything more regarding this just DM me. these threads are pretty much aids and I only replied the first time because I was intoxicated.

I expect it would need to be non-random in different ways for different players (or, if someone can hack the non truly randomness of the RNG, as was done with Planet Poker way back when).

I suppose it could favor trash hands or something like that? That implies intent though, IMO.

What people are suspecting is that when you get all in with a fish, the runout favors the fish, deliberately

In other words, the site "nerfs" accounts of players who win a lot

The site in and of itself has gotten a lot tougher to beat the field of players, regardless, as they've lost several states which prob had the most fish in. Now it's all regs

So you running into set over set more often isn't the RNG (assuming it's not rigged) but simply playing tighter, more competent players. And you aren't getting fed by fish anymore because they're all gone

I've been playing poker for a living since 2012 and I've probably played 150,000 SNGs lifetime. I've also played a ton of live poker - have cashed The Main & final tabled a live bracelet event. I don't lightly entertain rigtard theories and RNG whining. But Global was definitely off-kilter in my opinion.

I played approximately 30k sngs and won 5 figures on Global and I felt something was skewed the entire time. I played a lot of HUSNGs and the level of play from my opponents was astoundingly bad on Global. Yet I always felt I could never beat the fish for their deserved lossrate.

There would be many instances where my opponent would jam a flop with bottom pair vs my top set and I'd still lose the runout. Here and there whatever - this happens. But on Global it would happen ~daily for years.

I'm not talking about losing 70/30s & 80/20s...I'm talking like 97/3's. The no hope pure punts. Like all they have is a backdoor gutter. And yet it runs out for them with semi regularity.

I mean the the games were soft enough I pretty much accepted that something algorithmically was helping fish lose less than they should and I chalked it up to an additional rake and kept playing. But I will say - it was ****ing tough to handle swings on Global because of this. Across many sites I've had 50-100 buyin downswings. But on Global it's extra dirty because it feels unpure and you don't know wtf is happening in their unique variance machine.

It's already difficult enough to train the mind to accept the wildness of poker. But skewing the scope of reality even just a few % points to allow fish to be saved can really delay the longrun and mess with your perception of this game.

Near the end of my time on Global was the only time in the last 13 years I ever even thought about quitting poker. As soon as I stopped playing there and researched and chose a new online poker home....the kind of paranoia I developed on Global went away. Poker felt "normal" again.

Anyway - just wanted to share my experience grinding there for several years. Curious if any other full timers ran into feelings of dark undercurrents on Global.

I don't think any site is going to deal 100% randomly. If they did then winners would crush every day and the games would end. They don't know this so the goal of every poker site online is to keep winners win rates as small as they possibly can. If you played the same idiots live you would probably kill them, but they would do much better against you online I've had the same theory for years. I mean I guess it has to be this way because of so many hands are being dealt that if the wind is just lost at the win rate they should they would consistently be out of money in the games would end

So, Global has decided to take steps to Steal my $146 USD in Sweeps Coins now that they have left Canada.

The last day to play on their site was September 25th.

A few weeks ago, they removed the Sweeps Coins (essentially rakeback), and made it so that instead of manually being able to add it to your bankroll, you had to request it.

Their next reply was to play dumb and act like rake back isn't a common term, and suggest I meant take back? I don't really understand.

September 23rd, I contact support, again asking that whatever my balance of Sweeps Coin earned (rakeback) be transferred to my balance.
They reply by telling me "where to find it" with this screenshot.

However, mine clearly doesn't have that as you can see below.

This final message was sent at 5:37pm on September 24th. I think their "playing dumb" pretending to misunderstand rakeback, which added an extra day or 2 to make my Sweeps Coins unable to be withdrawn.

Further, the email chain also included them telling me to delete cookies etc. for the Sweeps Coins to show up on my profile. I did all that, and it still never showed up. They did a manual sending of my Sweeps Coins (rakeback) earlier in the month. I think hiding this from the profile was also done to thwart users from being able to cash these out. It took quite a few emails back and forth early in September to get them to send it.

Yesterday, I told them to make this right or I will have to post on the forums. They simply stopped responding. The $20-30k or more that I probably raked on their site is no longer coming in, so eff me I guess.

Any suggestions as to how to get it back? Everything about this feels like they have behaved highly unethically.

Post it in their discord, I've seen people get their balances back from dormant accounts through the discord. Worth a try

Ok I will thanks. Do you have a link for it? I can’t find anything

Edit: never mind I found it.

Messaged the discord, no reply.

Emailed support twice in the last 5 days, no reply. What a scum bag site.

I seen.....you should have asked for help and explained your situation. The way you asked if anyone else had money stolen from Global is probably why you got no response

If you say so. 3 days before they left Canada, I asked where my giveback Sweeps Coins were. They played dumb pretending they didn’t know what I was talking about for 2 days of messaging.

Then they sent them to my account balance, but too late for me to be able to play the ~10 games to be eligible to withdraw them to my balance.

It was a scummy move to steal $145 from me.

Not sure why you seem to be defending them. They are ignoring emails and Discord messages.

I'm not defending them at all. I just think the way you went about it was bad. I would have killed them with kindness first and if that didn't work then I would have posted the bad stuff lol. I've seen many people get help on discord but they never insult them first. I want you to get paid otherwise I wouldn't have directed you to the discord

Fair enough. I really didn’t say anything rude or disrespectful to their email support even when they were clearly giving me a canned answer telling me to get effed.

The fact that they ignored my last 2 emails where I told them I would post this all on 2+2 shows this place doesn’t hold the same esteem it once did.

Oh well.

Anyone know how long player can play on global poker in california? Global wont respond but gavin newsom signed bill ab 831. It goes into law on Jan 1st but Global could shut down their operations in cali earlier then that. I have asked them 3 times and they wont respond. They will send you an email with the dates of the last day to deposit, play, and redeem.....like they've done with every other state they've left. You already have the info that the law goes into effect Jan 1st so I would expect an email soon
