[Bodog/Bovada/Ignition] Unofficial Thread

This thread is to separate the Bovada-related comments and questions from the Official Bodog Support Thread, which is there only for questions or concerns about anything Bodog-branded.

There is no official Bovada Rep at 2+2 at this time, but perhaps if discussion is effected in a civil manner, one might arrive in due course?

Thank you.

Trying to re-download the Ignition poker client and getting this message...

Any ideas?

Why do they keep making us change our bitcoin address to do cashouts? Why can't we use the same address?

I don’t know if it’s all wallets, but my wallet address changes on each transaction.

Most poker/gambling sites use payment processors, that's who upcharging you not the site itself. If you hit the help tab on ignition they have their own forum. Use the same login as you would use to sign into the site. They have active mods/reps on there

Yep, when you include international charges etc.

Depositing with a debit card in 2024 is honestly insane.

bovada has crashed multiple times on me this week and i am unable to reopen the software. i just auto lose $300-500 in tournaments/sngs im registered for. i sent customer service a screenshot of their poker client blacked out / frozen while i was playing another site no problem telling them the issue is clearly on their end. their response was that i have a problem with my internet and suggested restarting my router and no refunds would be issued. absolute scum of a company. withdrawing all money today

by tiger24 k

here is the ignition forum link

Thanks for the tip.

I sent an email and someone supposedly was looking into it further, stating that typically tournament tickets expire after 90 days, unless otherwise specified.

Hopefully they take care of it and I don't have to get on my knees again

Anyone else not been able to open the client for the last 24 hours or so? Just get a black screen.

Yes, but opening and closing the client about 5 times seems to work for me

That actually worked for me too

There is a tournament series called "Holiday Series Super HR Tune-Up" available for users playing on the Ignition skin

For anyone playing on Bodog/Bovada outside of the USA (not on Ignition skin), do you see this tournament series in your client?

harder for exchanges to "follow the trail" back to Ignition/Bovada's payment processor's hot wallet if a new address is used per new transaction...

Hello everyone. I want to share my experience with how Bodog is refusing to release my funds under a fabricated pretext. I’ve been playing on their platform for two years, with breaks. As soon as I managed to win some money and requested a withdrawal, they initiated a verification process. I submitted the required documents and waited. After some time, I received the same verification request again. I resubmitted the documents, and once again, they responded with the same request. And again and

Update on my situation. 3 weeks have passed and still no updates from Bodog service. They simply ignore all my e-mails and live support avoid to help. Why does it take months to verify documents? Very suspicious behavior from Bodog, has anyone else encountered this?

yeah, I tried for several months before I just gave up. It was the 3rd or 4th time they wanted to verify my documents over the years. This time they never replied to any emails and live chat was obviously useless. This was right around when the bots took over so I moved on to greener pastures instead of continuing to bang my head against a wall.

Hi guys,

The client has been crushing for me like 3/4 times per session, where I lose connection for like 10 second, and eventually end up reconnecting. When this happens, sometimes I lose the table I was playing and get moved to a new one and the most annoying I am not able to open any new table because they get stucked at 99%.

I can close the client, reopen and the 99% get fixed but it is quite tedious as sometimes mean you have to close a good table.

In the past I read somewhere something about changing the ports or something technological I did not understand very well but it fixed the problem, anyone knows about this?

Thanks in advance

Can anyone playing confirm if these players opening 2.05 at 1k/2k are part of some CFP or part of the bot network (they also mix 2.5x opens)? There was seemingly only 1 account doing this opening size until recently and now finding 3 or 4 players at the same table doing this. May be nothing but these players clearly know each other or work for same cfp at best, which is a bit meh.

There are a few regs doing it in NL500 too!

Also a short stack somehow buying in for 17.5bb lol... again, has done this on multiple tables (isn't him being moved)

I am virtually certain that Bovada runs highly unfair games, if they aren't entirely rigged. Would anyone here be willing to talk to me privately about my allegations?

If you have evidence you should just post it publicly, it's well known Bovada games are filled with bots and collusion these days. It's still possible to win and they do payout quickly though.

On reddit, R/Bovada is clearly run by either their employees, or agents, and they are trying to hide this fact. I saw a two plus two thread where someone claiming the site is rigged was berated and told that he should seek professional help. I was told something similar a couple years ago when I made a post on reddit talking about their non-random table swapping algorithm in MTTs. I believe Bovada is coordinating a disinformation accross Reddit that may extend here, and frankly I find it suspicious that you are ending your comment with the irrelevant point that they pay out quickly.

Just to give a little tidbit, Bovada hasn't had a Curacao gaming license for at least year, probably longer, and is entirely unlicensed at this point.

I have roughly 70K hands at over 3BB/100 at 50 NL, if anyone trusted here would like them all for any reason, please let me know how I can reach you.

I’m guessing the poster who has been a member of 2p2 since 2005 isn’t shilling Bovada by saying they pay out quickly lol.

Everyone knows Bovada/Ignition is shady and play at your own risk. Generally, the games have been soft enough to not care much. The network has been through UIEGA, Black Friday, name changes, a skin split, etc. and has never had a liquidity issue, to my knowledge.

They have even shown a willingness to pull out of states threatening to take action rather than continue operating illegally, which is more about sports betting than online poker/casino games.

I do not find the RNG suspicious. I do acknowledge that I’m playing against bots, RTA, colluders, etc. anytime I decide to play. Having a Curaçao license or not doesn’t mean much at this point. I’ve been playing on this network since 2007.

How is it not relevant that they lost their license? There is absolutely no reason for them not to renew it, or at least get licensing somewhere else. They switched to the Comoros, but even that license expired. Why do shill websites such as professionalrakeback.com, still claim that they have a license? What reason would they have for being unlicensed that doesn't involve not running fair games?

My main concern is that Bovada does not seat players randomly. I'm a bad heads up player so at one point I started playing the button and then sitting out when I had to start a 6-max table. Eventually they started giving me the big blind virtually every time. A while ago I kept a tally and was in the big blind in 25/28 tables where I started heads up. To this day I'm almost always in the big blind when I start a game heads up, and either of the blinds when a game starts with 3+ people. If they are doing this, why wouldn't they be strategically placing bots near winning players?
