[Bodog/Bovada/Ignition] Unofficial Thread
This thread is to separate the Bovada-related comments and questions from the Official Bodog Support Thread, which is there only for questions or concerns about anything Bodog-branded.
There is no official Bovada Rep at 2+2 at this time, but perhaps if discussion is effected in a civil manner, one might arrive in due course?
Thank you.

I just had a 3 hour session with no disconnects.
Ok, cool... thanks for the feedback. Sounds like it's working much better based on reports. We have on report of someone still having a DC after 4 hours, but it was just once and then was fine.
We'll continue to monitor, but it does seem to be significantly better.

Pokernews also did an article on the cheating at ignition
There's a bot that plays 50nl-200nl . It oR 3x in 3 handed or more players. When HU it has a limp, 2.5x and 3x style with small 3b from BB
I thought about reporting it to the bovada forums. Anyone try that or am would I be wasting my time?

There are tons of them at 200NL. I would because the more people that complain the better, I would think. Although every time I am just thanked for "my vigilance" and never hear anything back.
came back after a week break and still disconnecting constantly. they haven't addressed it?
dunno if bots or regs trolling but there are some weird lines lately lol, opening 6.5x, opening 21x, jamming paired flops 98bbs into a 4.7bb pot, all reggish stats usually

you can report it but seems it does nothing, they’ve been around for over a year, people have reported them and nothing’s happening

I used to get somewhat regular refunds and what not from Bodog either after reporting obvious collusion or just randomly because someone else reported suspicious activity. This stopped about 2 years ago? Maybe a little less.
Not sure why anyone still plays there, especially knowing you're 100% being cheated.

99% certain 6.5x open is a bot. It's been happening for quite a few months and sometimes more than 1 person at a table has done it. They've definitely come up with new exploits/strategies and are generally better at "hiding" at the tables.

had a weird spot yesterday where I'm not sure if it was colluding or not but 6.5x open on my direct right, I decide to peel 88 from btn even if the open is huge, sb squeezes to 27bbs, original raise folds, i call (maybe bad?) flop 567 and he just bet like 50bb into 60 something so yeah obv can't fold that flop and he had KK
felt a little dirty

Ha, tbh every time i've played vs their 6.5x open i've usually gone to the flop HU, so I don't think they're also doing it with the intention to squeeze. There's a lot of stuff like AJo etc in that 6.5x open. I don't really know how they make it work.

ive played a thousand or two hu 5/10 hands vs this strategy. thanks for pointing out its a bot. feel like im gonna absolutely torch 'him' in the coming days now that i have this info. also, at least in my experience hes a bit too nitty IP facing normal size 3bets. moreso in non hu spots.

I've seen the $13 open a lot at 200NL - the first few times I thought it was a mis click but as pointed out sometimes they are multiple players at the table doing it now.
Are those Jams part of their strategy or do you think its a malfunction? I wish I had been marking them so I can review. One opened to 6.5x and then jammed 150bb into a ~15bb pot on a 9 high flop (can't remember how coordinated it was). I had heard on ACR a few bots malfunctioned by jamming flops and people were cleaning up until the bot operators fixed it a few days later.
Can you guys please stop talking about bot strats here?...
Make a private group or something but don't make it easier for the bot developers to improve there leaks.

the acr ones were bugging out hardcore right after bomb pots were first introduced, that was really fun to see a 16/12/6 hud just ripping in bottom pair 2nd to act lmao
the iggy jams ive only seen a couple times and havent seen the showdowns its probably just built in low frequency stuff kinda like some postflop sims u see the occasional stuff just liking to jam flop for whatever reason
the 6.5x opens definitely feel like a collusion tactic, similar to the 200plo bots that crushed pokerstars zoom. I think it likes to do it when there are these conditions
1.a villian (any non colluder) in the BB, as this is the only position that would rather see a standard size
2.at least one co-colluder to heros left, that is folding pre. the pos that 6.5bb happens the most on is BTN. if sb has a walk hand, and BB is a villain, then 6.5x is almost for sure a better size than 2.5 vs pool.
6.5x will punt a bunch of ev to the non-bb positions left to act, which is why u mostly see it used on co or btn. BTW, im not trying to act like im a bot expert or super sharp with this stuff, im just spitballing ideas here from my hands played and its interesting to me
