OOT Super Bowl Squares 2025
Mod note: OP has been edited to show the final payouts for the $200 board which was changed to $100.
Like it or not, it's that time again.

$10 - 125/250/125/500(final score)
$25 - 300/650/300/1250(final score)
$50 - 625/1250/625/2500(final score)
$200 - Pays on every score change & final score
Even though it didn't fill at $250 and I had to drop it to $125, the "every score change" board seemed to be mostly well received last year, so we're going to run it back. Only this year I'm dropping it to $200. If it doesn't fill, it'll either run with blank squares or again be cut in half - depending on how many sell.
Here's how this board works - every time points go on the board, somebody wins. If a field goal is the first score, whoever has 3-0 wins. If the next score is a touchdown by the other team, 3-6 wins. When the extra point gets kicked, 3-7 wins. Easy enough? Good. The end of quarters or halftime don't matter in this pool. Final score does. Whoever has the final score right will be the big winner. Instead of having one set amount for each score change, or a set amount for the final score winner, and risking a high or low scoring game taking away from the spirit of this pool, I'm going with a sliding scale.
of score changes
1-5 = $1200 per change
6-8 = $800
9-12 = $600
13-25 = $400
25+ = everything split evenly
Here it is broken all the way down
Score changes = Amount per score change / Amount to final winner(in addition to the money from the final score change)
1 = 1.2k per change / 8.8k to the final
2 = 1.2k / 7.6k
3 = 1.2k / 6.4k
4 = 1.2k / 5.2k
5 = 1.2k / 4k
6 = 800 / 5.2k
7 = 800 / 4.4k
8 = 800 / 3.6k
9 = 600 / 4.6k
10 = 600 / 4k
11 = 600 / 3.4k
12 = 600 / 2.8k
13 = 400 / 4.8k
14 = 400 / 4.4k
15 = 400 / 4k
16 = 400 / 3.6k
17 = 400 / 3.2k
18 = 400 / 2.8k
19 = 400 / 2.4k
20 = 400 / 2k
21 = 400 / 1.6k
22 = 400 / 1.2k
23 = 400 / 800
24 = 400 / 400
25 = 400
Last year there were 13 score changes and the average has been about 14 over the past 10 years.
I'm sure there will be questions, so ask away.
happy to drop a 100 or two if someone else wanted to pay for them. fine keeping them as well
Everyone drawing a pair gets their buy in back unless they also hit a score change along the way? So using this current $100 board as an example - set $1000 aside to pay the 10 pairs. If 7-7 hits, the $100 that square was originally in line for gets added to the payouts of the other pairs who don't hit a score change. Basically that $1000 gets divided up between all the pairs who didn't win anything else.
Maybe that's too much going on, but hopefully it'll be a "shut up and take my money" situa
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I don't get the point of this and it just seems like unnecessary complicated. Why do 1-in-10 squares get their buyin back, just cuz?
I’m with Mr Ames. I’ll grab some $25s if needed.

Ya, pretty much. The point of this board was to have a lot more payouts throughout the game instead of the usual 4 quarters. Now I'm just looking at options to add to it. It may or may not happen that way but I'd rather have discussions about it now, while it's on people's minds. And I'm sure whatever is decided won't be for everyone. That's already the case with it in its current form.
Sorry, all. Planned on doing it after work but got tied up with family stuff. It'll get done today.
$25 #2 x4

Time to set the first 3 boards. I'm going to do them in the order of $10 #1, $25 #1, and finally $50.
First, I'm going to use random.org to randomize the list of 100 names. That list will get sent to a reputable OOT poster who won't be involved in any other way with setting up the boards, and I won't be announcing who that person is until after the boards are set. Then, I'll take that list of 100 names and copy it to the sheet. Names 1-10 will be the first column, 11-20 the second, and so on.
Once the names are set, I'll ask for volunteers to help set the numbers. I'll check back as soon as the names are done and I'm ready for numbers.
I'll take 1 box for the $100
Alright, the names are set and we're ready for some numbers.
I need a couple volunteers to go to random.org and use their list generator, found HERE. Insert the numbers 0-9, hit randomize, and post the results in the thread, including the timestamp. The first board will be $10 #1 and the first list will be for the Chiefs on the left side, then the next will be the Eagles across the top.
I'll take the first two lists that are posted correctly, regardless of who they come from. I prefer to have the lists come from more than one person so more people can be involved should they choose to be.

Looks more like a MAC address than an IP number. I wonder why that is.
I should've mentioned, you can leave your IP number out of it. 😀
$10 #1 is set. Now for $25 #1.
The first list will again be for the Chiefs and the second for the Eagles.
GO!

Thanks cokeboy. Give me a few minutes and I'll be ready for more lists.
Ok, let's get those last 2 lists. This is for the $50 board and again will be Chiefs with the first list and Eagles with the second.

Happy to help!
Thanks! We only needed one so that last list won't get used. You can even delete the post if you'd like so there's no confusion.
Let me get it all filled in and I'll have them posted shortly.
