New fast food discussion/review thread
OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

Grabbed a McRib for lunch. Felt like the patty may have been a hair thinner and the sauce a touch sweeter than they used to be, but that absolutely could be a false memory given the passage of time since the last one.

Onions or Garlic... as they are the same family of plant. NOT good for wow wows.
McRibs just popped up for me locally @ $5.39. I have been a McRib fan since the mid '80s, but this may be the first season they were available that I'll give them a pass. Not only have they steadily declined in size and taste, but I can get a good traditional BBQ pork sandwich, a side, and as much tea as I can drink plus take out in a go-cup for $10.
I may grab one or two (as one is no longer enough) just for old time's sake, but the quality and value are no longer tugging at me as they used to do.
$6.69 for the Son of Rib in metro Phoenix. Imma hold out for an app dealio, and then probably ignore it, too.

I found out via email that I have 563 points expiring in 3 days.

Well I have some news for you. It doesn’t!!!!
#1 ronald or the king have never emailed my about expiring points. A, its trivial, and B, it would hurt their bottom line to not let the points expire unused
#2 thats a chips and salsa level of points. Save the emailing for when I'm about to lose a QPC's worth of points!
I think the issue is I went 1x sour cream when i normally go extra. Apparently the fat neutralizes the pepper. 2x sour cream was my standard since I came back to the joint.
The only reason I eat chipotle is that they're open until 1030, its a 5 minute walk from my place, and my loadout is tasty and lasts for 1 - 2 meals.
I'll probably repeat this experiment again, with the 2x sour cream. Or, I could not get the hot sauce. The multiple days of discomfort sucks!
Ya maybe skip the hot sauce next time.

My McDonald's also now has buy any drink and get a free fries.
It appears a 50c double cheeseburger has replaced the $1 mcnuggets deal.
Another reason why I don't visit BK as much. Mcds and Wendys, you can use a reward or deal along with a nationally or even locally available deal. Mcds, I often use a reward for free hash browns, for instance, and get 2 for $3.33 Sausage Mcgriddles deal. Wendys too, you can use a reward or deal along with say, a 5 for $5 meal.
Not BK, can't use the thanksgiving deal of $1 or free (I don't remember) Whopper Jr along with their $5 meal deal.
