wow that's awesome

for the uninitiated, that chicken flavor says "New Orleans" with black pepper

kfc china has "new orleans style" for a lot of their chicken wings and sandwiches in china, i just google searched that in english and all results were about china so it sounds like a china only thing

over time, the popularity cause other restaurants to make new orleans style as well, ie you're at a bar looking at the food menu and they have it too

and now there's food seasoning for a chinese style dish

Thanks for the research on that.

The leftovers became chicken hash.

Apparently somewhere along the way y'all killed the vegetarian thread, so you have forced me to invade this one.

sweet potato chickpea coconut curry with spinach, side of apple celery walnut salad in yogurt dressing with ginger and lemon; over jasmine rice

and to be clear, you took that photo?
is this some ruse to use 2+2 to launch your first cook book?

lol, no, cooking and food photography are just a hobby of mine. I collect stoneware and placemats and tablecloths in different colors so I can play around with them. My best friend is a very talented wildlife photographer and I got interested in making pretty pics of MY hobby.

I like showing people vegetarian food that looks delicious and enticing because eating less meat is so much better for the planet. I also have acquired some funding for a very small vegetarian soup delivery business I'm launching in late September. People can get it in compostable paper cups or buy a reusable crock that they wash for a discount, and leftovers are delivered to the homeless that live under the bridge by my local Buddhist temple

This is the image (and soup) I used to promote the business:

vegan sweet corn chowder with coconut milk and jalapeno

I could eat a quart of that right now!

Your terms are acceptable.

Food looks fantastic as usual VR.

Well, next October, you can with 4 fresh breadsticks for 18 dollars! (Or you can buy a 16 oz serving with 2 for 10 dollars.)

I am obviously oblivious to the backstory here. Please tell me how and where. Or better yet, post it here in September for everyone's benefit. (Really just because my memory is impaired and my filing system is worse.) It does look great, and I'd hate to miss the opportunity!

I'm afraid you would actually have to be in the KC area, but if you're really in Abilene, I might be open to a special delivery one week.

Thanks, but unfortunatley I'm not.

curious VR if you have photos to share of housing conditions witnessed surrounding local Buddhist temples
may probably also have questions about reusable crocks later

I don't have pics, but it's basically boxes and sleeping bags under a highway overpass. It's a good location because the temple does regular outreach with food and clothing and will sometimes arrange a warm place for the residents to sleep on very cold nights.

My apologies for skimming across your recent post, and thanks to RED for quoting it.

I do have family in the KC area who may or may not still be there in October. I'll see if I can work something out with them to get by there if they're still near KC and my memory holds.

Moo Shu pork! Recipe from made with Lau on YT, tastes exactly as I remember.

Its supposed to be eaten on a tortilla with hoisin sauce, however I prefer it as is with rice

The cabbage is so good. It's like a noodle dish without the noods

Surely you'll need some testers before then?

Is Fort Worth close enough to Abilene for a Special Delivery? (I might be helping a friend move down here from KC in May).

Yes, I think I might be able to make that work.

Okay, last post before I retreat to the egg thread:
tuscan bean stew

always crack up when i see steve's dog.

only posting because it was pure coincidence i noticed while your images were loading this was huge on my screen
i'm afraid you may have a hair in your celery or perhaps a misguided knife cut

Not impossible it was a hair but highly unlikely because I cook with my hair pulled back. Probably a poor knife cut--I need to sharpen my chef's knife.

Put me down for a quart of that too at the meetup at Mark's house!

Yeah, I'd buy that. I haven't made anything that required mirepoix in a long time. Going to have to remedy that. I like saying mirepoix, makes me feel fancy.

The smell of a mirepoix cooking is one of life's sweet simple pleasures

Here's a big honking burger I made for my dogs mom
