GTO+/CardRunnersEV?
This is the support thread for CardRunnersEV, which is hand EV analysis software.
@scylla, i'm not able to open GTO+ anymore, i got a message regarding running some monitor program on my computer. Something like that.
Can you help me identify what it is, please? I'm not really sure what it could be. Started yesterday, i installed the new GTO+ 1.6.1 and Phyton. That was it. Already uninstalled it, and it's not it.
I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary here:

Edit:
Possibly RegMon, FileMon or Process Monitor?
You may need to reboot your system after removing such programs, given that just closing them is, in some cases, not sufficient to unload their driver.
If that's not it, then please contact support through our support form and we'll look into it further.
Yes, but would it be possible to make available the option to toggle it to Hand vs range in this scenario?
The way I'm using it is having the opponent's cards on so that I learn both OOP and IP strategies at the same time,
but I would still like to see my hand's equity vs the whole range and not vs this particular hand.
Ok, we'll consider adding an option to keep displaying hand vs range, regardless of whether villain's hand is shown.

Yeh that was it, Process Monitor.
Thank you
Thanks for adding the hand history export option. It's one of the best features of GTO+ and I hope you keep it. One small thing is when you create a new subfolder with a name to export the hand histories, it shows "New folder" instead of the folder name and you have to click again on the three dots and choose the new subfolder. Right now the exported hand history always starts with "PokerStars Hand #1" and it's hard to import those hands into a tracker database where you already imported GTO+ hands with those hand numbers. Can you add an option for the user to choose the first hand number so it's easier to avoid overlap?
The hand history format is simple which has pluses and minuses compared to more complex hand histories. If you stick with simple format, another good addition would be for the user to choose how many cents (or dollars) for the big blind value. This will make it easier to know the situation.

Ok, we'll take a look at this tomorrow, and probably post a small update in the near future.
helleu!
I'm not sure if my question makes any sense tbh..
But I notice that small nodelocks can take a long while.
Is it possible to let the solver start from the previous solved position instead of running the sim from scratch?
love the update btw (:

River data and internal calculation data are not stored in the solved trees (the river data can be recalculated on-the-fly whenever it is needed).
Using this approach reduces the size of savefiles by about 100x.
With this information being absent, it's however not possible to restart the solver from the previous position.
Even if we did have this data available to us, then I still don't think that a locked solution could be restarted by using the data from an unlocked (or differently locked) solution, given that this new configuration would require its own unique internal data.
Hello, are you planning to add preflop solvs for heads up, spot any time soon?
Scy how are you?
I wanted to know if it is possible to initially take a tree that is resolved for example at 0.5% exploitability and move it to a lower one (0.25% for example).
Is there a way to take the starting point as 0.5% exploitability and not start from 0?
Or would this not be possible mathematically?
In a database resolved at 0.50%, if you change the % resolution to a lower level, the trees will have an orange check (as if they were partially resolved).
The thing is that they begin to resolve themselves from the beginning.
I hope you understand what I want to convey to you, thank you!

When finalizing the solve, we don't store river data and internal calculation data.
The advantage of this approach is that RAM and disk usage is reduced by roughly 100x.
The disadvantage is that it's not possible to continue a solve after stopping it.
So this is indeed not mathematically possible.
Hi, can you implement a feature to lock not just one particular node but the whole strategy profile (from flop to river) for one player?

In GTO+, we don't store a river strategy, so this would not be possible.
By not storing river data, and recalculating river data live when needed, the need for RAM and storage space is reduced by 100x.
The feature that you're describing is "Max exploit", and is available in CREV.
Its main use is for checking whether the EV for both players is indeed within the given dEV for which the solution was solved.
Logically, if you were to solve a tree to a dEV of 0, then it would also be the max exploit solution.
A max exploit strategy is not a playable strategy.
Basically, if the solution has a dEV >0, then, when a hand is weighted between two different actions it will have almost the same EV for both actions.
For example one action would have an EV of 5.61, whereas the other has an EV of 5.57.
While the solver is still not at a dEV of 0, it's randomly figuring out the mix between the two actions.
Sometimes one action will have a higher EV, sometimes the other.
All that max exploit does is set the action which, by pure coincidence, has the highest EV when the solver stopped, to 100%.
In that manner it exploits every micro mistake by the opponent.
This is at the cost of becoming highly exploitable yourself (a max exploit strategy is extremely weak and exploitable).
Just a small request.
When playing against the solution, selecting a hand in the session history, it would be great to have 3 more buttons in the replayer, Flop, Turn and River. To jump faster from one to another. Sometimes i just want to check the River action, for example.
Also in the replayer, it would be nice to have an option to turn the animations off. When clicking the play button, i get the animations, it makes sense, but when clicking the <> buttons to go to the next action it kind just slows it down with no real purpose.
Just a small request.

Ok, we'll see if we can work this in for v162.
Hello Scylla.
When I change the bet size of a turn using the Edit tree, the turn report is no longer available.
Is this a product specification?

If changes are made to the tree, then the solution that was found for the previous configuration will no longer be applicable.
So you would need to run the solver again under "Run solver" to calculate the new report.
Scy how are you?
Could "custom notes" be added to hands that we play in the trainer in real time? This is interesting when doing "reviews" or warmups of a specific spot before playing a real session.
Thx.!
Hi!
In the 'customize statistics' feature, would it be possible to add ranks and suits, please? so that it would be possible to create custom categories such as "hands including a 9", "hands including the K of heart", etc.
Also, in the settings, what can the 'Enter code (Ctrl'Alt+D)' be used for?
Edit : Just saw the suit on the top right corner! Would it be possible to add a feature like this, but for ranks?

Yes, the suit menu can indeed be used to filter for specific suits.
And we can consider adding a similar popup menu for hand values.

Thanks for considering it! It would be greatly appreciated! I'm thinking it would be a nice visual support for when we try to break down the ranges, especially for bluffing, trying to make sense of blockers, that kind of stuff. I'm sure there are ways it can be done with calc sheets, but I'm not that much of a geek :(
Have a nice day!!
Hi, my preflop ranges disappear. I read here that I must rename and copy/paste one file from the backup on /config, but it reappear the newdefs3.tmp and newdefs3(that is a .txt but just named newdefs3) files all the time (both 14kb), and the file that I put in just disappear. What can I do to restore my preflop ranges? Thanks
