Not sure if i should ask it here.
After importing the hands in my database, can I move the hands in the process/archive folder to another drive? I will still have the data in my database right? Just asking because I want to free a bit of space from my main drive.

You can move those and it won't touch your database.

Yes, you can move those and it won't affect any of your already imported data.

Thanks.
That's good to know. I can free some space.

I'd save them somewhere though just in case. Up to you.

Yeah, just moving the hands to another drive.

Ok,got it... just wanted to make sure.

Will this work?
If convert the hands for PT4 using my PC and send the hands to MAC, will it import? Just want to confirm before doing it.

I don't know actually. In theory yes, but I've honestly never tried.

Both PC and MAC PT4 use the same hand format so... it should, just try a few hands to test it out just to make sure.

Ok, thanks for the info.
Also, will this work with WINE?

by Tafimelo k

Ok, thanks for the info.

Last I checked, the converter worked in WINE. I'm not sure about the new MACs right now. I tried it when they were using intel chips and not M series.

It does, but I'd recommend just installing boot camp is you natively have it. It will just make everything much easier.

We got the hand history imported to MAC and in to his database. thanks for the help.

Ok, great... I assume you used bootcamp?

yeah, we used it on his old mac.

Ok, cool. Bootcamp is the way to go if your OS has it.

If I convert the hand history again, will my database detect it as duplicate? I think i forgot to convert/import a HH files, problem is i don't know which file it is... so i was wondering if I convert the original HH again then import it to my database, will my database detect the duplicates and just import the hands I'm missing?

This is more a question about the database than the converter. The converter is just going to do what it does, convert the hand. I think most databases should detect it as duplicate as nothing should have changed.

Most database does this automatically, you should be good.

I used to import hands to HM2 and got all hole cards, but recently did it for the first time in years to HM3 and don't get all hole cards revealed. Is this no longer possible or am I missing a setting or something?

It's still a feature. Are these new hands or previous HM2 hands?
