More and more often, MAGA is against things that don't exist, cheer things that do not happen, deny things that do happen, support what they were against yesterday and oppose what they rooted for last week.

bruh, i'm well aware that the general concept of nationalism is a very new idea
this is why during ancient and medieval times you never had partisans etc
when one lord got replaced with another nobody cared - at the end of the day they were just paying up their taxes to someone in a system more mafia than nation and they didn't particularly care who received it so long as they could live their own life in the process
this is why foreigners could conquer much of the world without much resistance once those in power were defeated and then the people were like "oh we're paying up to the greeks/arabs/romans/mongols now"

how we lead the world in bridge collapses per capita, how it takes us 5x more to build a subway line than the next most expensive place on earth, that we can't even build high speed rail because there are too many special interest groups which utilize the brakes our founders installed to stop tyranny, but they do it not to stop tyranny in this case but rather to stop progress towards a just an equitable society, one where the basic existence doesn't require ownership and insurance of a vehicle which has a sword of damocles hanging over the heads of every poor in america that if they ever find themselves unable to afford a car and maintenance their life is over because there are no other viable alternatives
