President Donald Trump
I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?
So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at
if trump sends the FBI to threaten car companies to keep prices low after tariffs are enacted threatening them with insane regulatory actions if they don't comply then yes I will admit trump for that dynamic is as bad as Biden was.
did trump send the fbi to car companies? because Biden did send the FBI to social media companies and that was the context of my post
No, Trump didn't send the FBI to tell companies to do something on behalf of the President - Trump told those companies himself.
And the FBI never "demanded" that social media companies moderate the posts. They pointed out how they violated their own company policies and asked them if they would moderate them. And there was no threat, implied or explicit, for not moderating the posts, despite the conservative talking points on how there was some implicit threat to take away their Section 230 protections.
So to repeat the question - ok for Republicans to interfere with corporations and the free market, not ok for Democrats?

lol at the bold. FBI gave social media companies a list of people to censor, and what exactly was the legal reason the fbi even initiated that conversation at all? it wasn't illegal content so it's exceptionally brutal and fascist to even suggest the FBI has any right to talk with social media companies at all about that.
the newly promoted head of NIH was oke of the people illegally targeted by the FBI in a fascist (and successful) attempt to censor him. we have the receipts.
that's infinitely worse than trump telling car companies to not raise prices. like not even vaguely comparable.
not ok to mess with corporations acting within the law for other goals.
democrats in their best day infinitely worse at that than trump on it's worst day, for now. democrats structurally always used the full power and violence of the state to put companies on their knees to execute democrat political policies.
come back with actual prolonged threats to major companies about crucial constitutionally protected rights for years and then maybe trump could be as bad as Biden.
then when trump will send the IRS to specifically audit leftist organizations for years, he could be as bad as Obama.
lol companies mandated DEI at the behalf of democrats, under their insistence and threats. and you know that was the case because they are now hurrying to dismantle those horrific (and blatantly illegal) discriminatory practices.
WSJ Exclusive: Hegseth Brought His Wife to Sensitive Meetings With Foreign Military Officials
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who is facing scrutiny over his handling of details of a military strike, brought his wife, a former Fox News producer, to two meetings with foreign military counterparts where sensitive information was discussed, according to multiple people who were present or had knowledge of the discussions.
One of the meetings, a high-level discussion at the Pentagon on March 6 between Hegseth and U.K. Secretary of Defense John Healey, took place at a sensitive moment for the trans-Atlantic alliance, one day after the U.S. said it had cut off military intelligence sharing with Ukraine. The group that met at the Pentagon, which included Adm. Tony Radakin, the head of the U.K.’s armed forces, discussed the U.S. rationale behind that decision, as well as future military collaboration between the two allies, according to people familiar with the meeting.

That's a lot of words to say that it's ok for Republicans to interfere with corporations and the free market but not Democrats.
And the SCOTUS disagreed with you.
Shocking the mid level national guardsman news anchor running our military has zero experience with classified information
nothing but respect for dui hire pete

read the opinion, they disagreed on the case for other reasons (mainly standing, and the fact it wasn't proven further damage would come from that as when the case was tried the FBI violence had stopped already).
it's not ok for republicans to use state power to force or threaten companies to do their bidding. fortunately they didn't do that yet with car companies, while democrats did that routinely every time they governed so republicans need to do that a lot for a log time just to be as bad as democrats for that topic.

In other words, it's ok for Republicans, not ok for Democrats. We get it. It's getting redundant Luciom.
